Flat out crazy.
This game is AMAZING on all fronts. I get that some people don't fully appreciate the story cause they didn't read Fall of Reach and play Halo 4..but even then, the Campaign is great...ESP when you start talking about gameplay. Seems like people that don't like it are usually people that rushed it and don't know much about the story of Halo to begin with.

According to Amazon.com Halo 5 has ALREADY sold more than every other game for all of 2015 so far (of course only on their site). If that's a sign of things....doesn't look like it was hurt by no split screen at all.
Someone please explain how (based on one massive online retailer) "Outsold a nearly full year of sales of EVERY other game in less than 5 days" = "Split screen hurt sales"
I have an opinion that I admit isn't gonna be wildly popular, but here we are in Gen 8, with the greatest set of dedicated servers ever available to gamers on this kind of scale in the Azure servers...but third party companies (i.e. Activision) are scared to use them because of deals and/or because they think it's not worth paying for them.

I haven't finished Halo 5 yet, but my "review in progress" is that this game is probably the closest I have ever played to "perfect" IMO. Personally I don't care at all about the split-screen deal, but I get that there is a minority that does. This isn't even close to fair, OF COURSE the Elite controller is better...even the standard X1 controller is better. DS4 is easily the best PS controller made (except for the battery life and gimmicky stuff that eats up the battery)...it has a much better feel than other PS controllers had in the past. However, the X1 controller is just a better feeling controller, it has a better weight and ergonomic grip, not to mention battery life is like 4-6 times longer (rechargeable or AA's),...
So.... haven't finished he campaign yet, but I can already tell that anyone saying its "the worst Halo Campaign yet" (esp since when they say that they even usually admit the ending is good...and leaves you wanting Halo 6)...does not share the same opinion as me. It's not bland/boring, it's well written and engaging. So far it's shaping up to be may favorite campaign ever....true I will have to finish it to know for sure....but it's headed that direction so far...
That does seem to be the unifying factor between loving it, and just thinking it's ok/not liking it. If you have kept in touch with the Halo universe outside JUST the games, chances are that you love Halo 5's campaign ...if not, chances are that you're missing some things that others are excited about.

Exactly, maybe it should come with a rechargeable battery, but for a controller that costs $150, you don't want it being taken out of commission because of a dead battery....sure you can open it and replace it...but then having it be a "built in" battery just makes it more of a pain to change.
That's not actually what that proves at all. Levels I single player will be much bigger than MP maps, which will just load the entire map straight out the gate. Not to mention games don't work like that....it's not sitting there at EXACTLY 30fps with no room to grow ...then all the sudden jumps to 60fps perfectly

Slow down...we all love MC, but stop and think about it. The whole story plot is sending one Spartan team after the other to find out the "truth"....if they just let you play ad MC the whole time/half the time...wouldnt that kill the story in this case....also don't forget...Halo 6 is already on its way...thats probably set to wrap things up for this trilogy

The bias is real. Halo 5 launches, gets TONS of excellent reviews and praise saying it's the best Halo ever....here on launch day at N4G....barely a peep. The top rated Halo article is using a headline that is lying to gamers, the only positive review that barely cracked the top ten articles is filled with salt...and yesterday the only three reviews to mak...
Of course....the game releases to MASSIVELY positive reviews from the legit gaming sites (not the ones like Time magazine or Joe-schmoe in his garage trying to make a name) Even on Metacritic with all the clearly trolling reviews it's still 41 positive to 3 negative...guess which three make the top ten bar on N4G....
If you weren't convinced yet that there is a bias in gaming reviews...this should be a clear sign.

This game definitely has my interest. With all the games SOMEWHAT similar to NMS...I'm starting to think that delaying the release like they are is hurting it. It'll still be a good game to be sure...but with games like Elite Dangerous, Tacoma, Solus Project, now this and a few others...NMS went from being a true gem to...just another game. When it was first announced it was on the top of my list...then the more and more time passes...the less and less I think I'll even get it ...
No we shouldn't be worried about UC4...true a lot of quality people left ND, but they still have a solid staff. So far what we have seen of the game it looks great. I don't like that it's been delayed (twice now I think, maybe I'm wrong, not sure....just know they've been showing it off for a long time now)....but I'd rather a game get delayed and do it right, than rush and have issues.
@Subaru...I get that it's for both consoles (X1/360) NOWHERE did I say otherwise...but that goes the same for PS4/PS3...so it still stands.
Your logic for "requirement" makes sense last gen...however this gen it does not. This gen that same requirement applies to both consoles...and so if you wish to play online with PS4 you need PS+. Sony was quick to brag that there were 150million different PSn accounts at the same time that there were 7 million PS+ accounts...
What I don't get is, Sony almost NEVER releases their sales numbers, and MS already didn't always release them, they mostly just compared sales vs the 360 or the previous year against themselves....
So....why does Sony get a free pass for NOT giving numbers? ..why is there no talk about this being a sign of doom for Sony...despite the fact that without numbers, they only thing we've heard is that both sold better than they did in August, but both sold less than LA...
Treyarch ALLLLLL day. In fact it's gotten to the point that I'll only buy Treyarch ones from now on (well...I guess you should never say never...but if the current trends keep going the way they have been...I'll only be getting Treyarch ones).
