I'm not sure if what you're saying is actually to counter what I said specifically or if you're just making general points. However, a lot of your points are along the lines of what I said originally. First, yes I agree that there is still a lot about UC4, that we simply don't know, so I'm just basing it on the trailers/gameplay we have seen to this point. At no point am I trying to bash UC4, after all I've had the game pre-ordered since the first day that I could. ...
This title may have been accurate last TR, but now it seems like UC should be looking to TR for guidance again. Not that UC4 will be bad or anything, but the story, voice-acting, graphics, and gameplay were all amazing in TR...UC series can hold it's own in all those areas, but esp in the gameplay department, it could take some pointers from TR. UC will be fun no doubt, but it looks so far like it's relying on a very linear cover shooting mechanic instead of exploration and stealth w...
The devs even reiterated today that it's still pre-alpha and will be optimized.
I get those are Technically AAA games..but it actually seems like you made more of a case why not to buy one
This is both great and concerning at the same time. Its amazing to see them supporting the tech so strongly but troubling that not a single game looks worth buying a VR device for
Sorry....played the Alpha...thats what it looked like
The Alpha was short...but from the little i played....seems like it'll be the game i was hoping Destiny would be
Your bias has you blinded. Sounds like you're saying more about what you WANT to believe rather than any real facts. What games are you developing?
...so then you're saying PSVR won't show anything till the end of the gen? Why are you so willing to believe introducing a whole new piece of hardware with support is completely do-able, but a new API isn't?
X1 already gets more out of the CPU, and this article was just saying that THAT aspect would widen...it was even in the title...did you read it?
I don't get how some people can say things like "PS4 and X1 have the same CPU X1 is just clocked higher" then immediately turn around and say "You can't make inferior hardware better with software" ...uh...did you not listen to yourself...TWICE!?!?!?!
@LP Are you saying the games that rel...
Pretty much what everyone is expecting DX12 will do...not necessarily make games run at a higher res or anything (although at times it MAY have that "side-effect")....it 's mostly about allowing the X1 to do more things with more draw calls. It's also interesting to see how aspects like PIX will help Devs take better advantage of eSRAM...esp mixed in with making the CPU faster/more efficient.
CPU-wise yes, not GPU
So you're saying it's a PC seller?
Are you just complaining just to complain? First of all Japanese games do just fine on X1...true, maybe not the really obscure ones....but they're obscure. So what do you suggest, MS just refuses Japanese games all together? Would you then change your tune to "MS doesn't support Japanese gaming"?
How about you just judge a game based on it's quality instead of holding onto unfounded bias' and dismissing a game/chance of a game doing well....simply ...
You do realize that all PS4 top selling games are not only multi-plat, but that it includes PC right?
The game looks fantastic, I can't wait to play it. As far as MS is concerned it doesn't matter if it's on PC...MS sees both consoles and PCs as their children...and either way it's profit to them...and either way that profit will persuade MS to invest more in gaming, and either way that will benefit gamers. It being on PC would ONLY be a concern if X1 was on ...
PS4 doesn't need to try and compete with X1 in innovation and being an all around machine...Sony should just keep it simple...just deliver on great games like they promised...so far IMO it's just Bloodborne....and nothing else special. Games like UC4 and Horizon will help.
PSN SEVERLY needs to be beefed up, that is one area where they are getting CRUSHED, and since PS4 has the most sales it's actually holding gaming back, cause devs know they can get away with de...
....so the secret is predict everything!!! Eventually you'll be right.
This is really where it stands...PSVR has a more attractive price, but Rift is a better headset. It's much easier to approach PSVR, but so far nothing on PSVR really impresses much. That's the trick with any new tech like this...in order for the first gen to be impressive...it usually has to be too expensive for the average consumer.
Death Warrant? That's a little too excessive. Sure it's more expensive, but it's also better quality....
If a group from D refuses to buy an X1 anyway...this just opens another door for MS to make money off that crowd...it's a win win. X1 has flourished without group D already, and will continue to do so...this way, MS makes more money. MS doesn't see it as Console OR PC....MS sees it as Console AND PC.
The second PCs are allowed in "console exclusive" debates like it's a negative thing...then the whole idea of consoles at all severely degrades. Conversations about FPS/Res just start looking ridiculously dumb....if a game also being on PC somehow makes a console exclusive obsolete, then Res/FPS shouldn't ever be brought up in console debates...it's one or the other...playing both sides just shows bias.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't consider ...
What is that? Don't get me wrong, I love UC, but I don't see it really doing anything more "magical" than TR or Indiana Jones (unless you're comparing recent UC's to REALLY old TR/Indy). It's just the nature of gaming that as time progresses games progress...even against themselves. Game Devs constantly look at other games and their own games and try to improve. So it seems like just whichever game comes out latest will influence the one that comes out next.....
