Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 will be pretty big games...but not as big as Halo ODST or Mass Effect 2.
The 360 has a much better lineup of games and I don't care if I can play some of them on the PC....I'm a console gamer not a PC gamer...anyway lot's of my favorite 360 games can't be played on the PC anyway. The ps3 has some good games too...just not as many.
I personally think the 360 will sell more than the ps3 this generation...but it still isn't written in stone....the ps3 has a chance to catch up, but I think Microsoft are generally putting forward a better product and for that reason I think that it will maintain its lead.
@Greywulf
The 360 came out a year earlier but has far more games....you can't attribute that to just a one year start. As for the guy that said that ps3 games are better quality...please get a clue...it is fine if you like ps3 exlusives the most but don't act like it is some kind of fact....I happen to think the 360 has a better lineup of quality games.
I for one can't wait for the new Mass Effect DLC.
It's obvious this article was written by a ps3 fanboy....too bad the guy doesn't have a clue. How did including the Halo 3 beta ruin the game?....did including the Uncharted 2 beta ruin Infamous?....what a moron.
360 has been out longer and has a far larger library of games than the ps3....also there are also more people playing games on Live at any given time than on psn.
How does this ps3 nerd even know how many people are playing this game?...I still play it all the time and I love it. No game that is several years old is going to be played as much as newer games...but how is Crackdown any different than any other game in that way? This was by far one of the most trolling and moronic articles I have ever read.
Jaces don't try to defend this article...it is pure fanboy BS. It sounds like it was written by a 13 year old PS3 fanboy.
This was one of the stupidest articles I have ever seen posted on N4G. Pure fanboy trash.
I still play this game to this day. The author of this article is a moron.
I agree, PC gaming is looking more and more appealing. I haven't used a PC for gaming in a while, but I am planning on going back to it.
The competition is between the ps3 and 360....you never hear people pitting the ps3 or 360 against the PC because it is mostly a different market....that is why the term 'console exclusive applies....the term refers to any game that is available on one console and not available on the competitor's console.
El botto, that makes little sense....if PC sales were truly hurting 360 sales why would Microsoft publish games like Halo, Gears of War and Fable for the PC?....Microsoft clearly views both platforms as not significantly competing with each other. Sales numbers support this theory....since PC versions usually sell far, far fewer copies than 360 versions.
@tom above
The platform is called Games for Windows
Interesting that they are bringing 4 games to the 360 and PC throughout 2010.
Having these social networking services built in to the console UI and having them streamlined to integrate well with the overall functionality of the console are really going expand the social aspects of the 360 tremendously....Last.fm is probably the one I am most personally excited about...anyone who has used Last.fm knows what I am talking about.
If it was hurting Microsoft to have games on 360 and PC why in the world would they publish their games on the PC?.....it is clear that it benefits them and that is why they do it.
MGS4 is in no way the pinnacle of graphics...lots of games on both consoles look better....hell, even Resident Evil 5 looks better and it is a multiplatform game. Most of the games I care about most are multiplatform games....games like Orange Box, Bioshock and Resident Evil 5....I care more about those games looking the best they can on the consoles I own (I don't use PCs for gaming) more than I care if an exclusive I don't even like that much looks a little better than one I do like (killz...
Totally true, GMR_PR...I look at those screenshots and it is obvious the games are basically on par with one another...nobody could conclusively say that one is better than the other....it is going to be a matter of preference as to which one's graphics you prefer. I've watched the videos too and I thought the same thing then.
Do you have dirt in your eyes?...Alan Wake looks better than Heavy Rain...not the other way around. Heavy Rain looks pretty good but the textures are kind of flat and the image quality often looks kind of 'muddy' for lack of a better term. Look at this screenshot http://ps3.ign.com/dor/obje... for an example of the kind of muddy low quality textures I am ta...
The Cell is not a good architecture for a game console....that's why devs are struggling with it....but hold tight to those cherished illusions!
