Onlive and Gakai were pioneers in this tech, however as a former subscriber yo the service I'm not kidding when I tell you that it was a sub par experience and there are good reasons why it didn't succeed. I would hope that any next gen version would be superior or else they can keep it. Money wasted IMO.
Its one of those games where you don't give it a second thought roughly ten minutes after they mention it. Don't get me wrong, it might be groundbreaking. Just a classic case of done when its done. I can't help wondering however if any delay might be a result of the closure to the Xbox entertainment studios or implementation of dx12 features.
I am of the opinion that a lack of any official finger pointing at Lizard Squad (stoopid name) by both MS and Sony only highlights the probability that they are letting them take far too much credance for an inability to maintain their fragile services under the Christmas user surge. And breathe.
Journalism clickbait 101:
1: find argument that is totally against the status quo.
2: print and duck for cover
3: watch the ad revenue roll in.
4: watch you credibility float away on the breeze.
Move along, nothing to see here.
This says a lot about the friendly Dutch. Well played.
The trouble is that consoles in this region are classed as a luxury item, quite unaffordable to a fair percentage of those 1.5billion. So once the Elite have made their purchase they are out of the market.
MS may have only intended to antagonize the haters. Erm, did it work?
I honestly don't think it is meant as an advert in the strictest sense. I see it as Microsoft tipping its hat to its own fans who believe it or not are also hyped for the Destiny launch.
Anybody would think that Destiny was only being released on one platform . chill out. Its a smart ad probs tipping a wink to their own fans
It isn't about anybody swapping their pre order, *sings*'your so vane, I bet u wish this ad was about you'.
Destiny is a system seller, the ad is aimed at those on the fence, the undecided. Was the ad successful? I dunno about Joe public but its deffo trending on Twitter, and compared to how much it probs cost (providing Sony don't find a way to sue) its been a viral success.
Lot of people who have no interest in this are sure showing a lot of interest. Like a city fan watching the utd game hoping they get beat..#worryaboutyourownsheyt
Kotawho?
The edit at the end of this article is soooooo ironic considering the background to this story.
Edit: full disclosure, I also backed this project. :)
If you're into jrpg's and you live in Japan, then wow, just wow..
And still you all bite. Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. #dontworrytoomuch
I hope the final build is optimized better than my current hanger build. Yes I know that the hanger is just a teaser for early backers, but mine currently runs like a slideshow.
Nice one, like it. Also the Kings a ruler, a ruler is a foot and a foot stinks.
I give up, shoot me now cos I obviously just don't get it. If the Xbox and PS4 launched tomorrow I would still choose the xbox. And that includes the origin price difference. Horses for coarses, I suppose.
Hmm shareplay? Always wanted the ability to allow total strangers to delete my Guardians and Exotics. :/
