You heard the guy, let's grow up....now I'd like to grow up at normal pace, 1 day per 24 hour period should do it, I have issue however with the guys who are gunna pay real money and ridicule my grind and grow up all in one go.
Articles like this are 10 a penny and should not be taken seriously, however a quick scan of the comments tells me all I need to know about the insecurities of a certain demographic.

@gamerevelution.com if you stuck new components in a PC would you call it a new PC or an upgrade? MS had to market the X in a way that it did not alienate it's current user base that had already invested heavily in the Xbox one. I think it was clever marketing to actually suggest to gamers that they didn't need the better machine.

The point is, regardless of numbers or platform, to me and the blind man on a galloping horse there is very little between platforms or generations that is a game changer or a deal breaker.
Have mainly tried the games already in my library, Gears 4, Diablo,FIFA, Elite Dangerous and a few of the dynamic resolution titles, the only one so far that I thought was night and day was Tomb raider. I will admit that everything is smoother and snappier,
Sensible Xbox one X owner here, The numbers are nice and go some way to justifying the £449 I splashed out, but so far with back compatible upscales and old engines exceeding the speed of light, I have seen nothing yet outside of HDR titles that have made me go "wow'
Seams like the game engine is into the realm of diminishing returns as you push more pixels. I suggest that it wouldn't look too much different at 8k.
Shame that Sony has no equivelant yet for Dolby Atmos for headphones, then you can just use your faithful stereo cans and save some money.
The good news for consumers is that developers of older games have a small window of opportunity to patch their games with new assets before the 4k novelty bubble bursts and people turn their attention to newer titles. I can see games specifically in the 'enhanced for Xbox one x' section on the dashboard topping the xbox game charts in the short term. Win win if you already own them.
