Like Neonridr says, it is more regarding my old PC, that gets Frankensteined every couple of years, solely because there are some games that are only available on PC.....The point is that what is happening with the Windows family of games is that there is no 'Port' involved. It's the same game and the same code.
To be honest bud that's the trouble, although I own it on PC, it plays like a bag of hammers. :)
Along with playerunknowns battlegrounds anouncement, this is another reason why my faithful old PC is looking worried.
As a PC/ Xbox gamer, I'd take frame rate over resolution any day of the week.....However as a PC builder I know that double the frame rate doesn't necessarily mean twice the power. All it takes is a bad driver or an over ambitious toggle in the settings menu and a game can grind to an unplayable halt. So I'm happy to buy an Xbox one X, quite looking forward to it actually, but I'm not getting carried away. This is the console I thought I was buying 3 years ago. It'll be ni...
Seams clear to me that in this scenario it is in fact the Vanilla Xbox One that is holding back the One X. These guys will be playing on the same servers, surely the 60fps guys would have advantage over the 30 FPS guys ......So big Phil is actually reluctant to talk about the real Elephant in the room.....I'm an Xbox fan all day, however I'm not comfortable blaming Sony for everything that I'm not happy about.
Microsoft positivity?.....there's no place for your sort around these parts......... seriously though, good for you. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person on the planet who enjoyed what MS had to show. As an Xbox/PC gamer this scheme has made me buy games that ordinarily would not appeal to me, and in some cases has saved me from shelling out twice.
Seams like the great fanboy divide is as wide as ever.....PS is good, MS is good, N is good, PC is good,,,,,,it's all good, relax, enjoy what you're playing. Nobody needs to justify themselves to anyone, and you can take that lesson into life. peace.
This is up to Bungie, not Microsoft. Are they saying it's not possible? Is this true for all console versions, I'm guessing it multiplayer parity across the hardware generations. When I read the headline, I thought the journalist was implying that the Xbox One X was inferior....silly me.
I'd be worried if they said it was coming this Xmas, because like the current gen it wouldn't be ready and neither would the games.Looks to me like they are basicly building a PC in a sealed box (that's not a criticism btw) Gabe Newell would be proud......and the blatant lack of specs and features is a deliberate ploy so as not to repeat previous mistake of announcing a product that could still be trumped by the competition, that and the fact it only exists as a concept. Do I need...
Imagine if MS had announced PS3 BC for Xbox one...yeah far fetched scenario, I know, but you would think how is this even possible.... essentially I think the XB360 BC has achieved the same thing, it has taken an entirely alien op system and architecture and emulated it wholesale. You would expect it (apart from maybe load times) to run equal or worse than the Source material...Well done I say.
Didn't think I was bothered until it became a thing.....then I was so bothered that I rang my daughter to tell her I was taking my old Xbox games back, then I became so excited I rang her back and told her it was OK because I had re-bought the digital version and was already playing it, my rank was intact and the emblem I had spent 10 hours perfecting was still on my guns and all my DLC was ready to re-download....I suppose my new DL of Doom can wait another week or so...Happy Days.
Wow, 20m?. Great job guys.
Did the porn industry miss the VHS bandwagon?, errr no....will it miss the VR bandwagon?....er nope, probably not.. Will such content be available to the masses?...I hope so.
Feel free to crank up your free PC version as high as you can get it if the Xbox version doesn't suit. But resolution is not the full story and does not make up for fluid gaming experience, I'm talking to you Batman Arkham Knight (PC).
Cant believe you mentioned 'He who shall not be named'. If you throw enough s**t, some of it will stick to something, somewhere. Just saying.
Valve gets hololens compatibility and directx12 for source engine 2, MS get Steam app and HTC Vive for Xbox. When you can't beat your nearest competitor, you merge with the 3rd place guy. Simples.
As the owner of an Xbox one, a 120+ Steam game library, A Steam controller and a Steam link, this could be a god-send. Thus qualifies me to say that the Steam link is the weakest link, goodbye.
Behave...:)
Gamers win E3 not corporations, surely.
