Is it though? It wasn't really hyped out of the gate. Pretty much everyone expected it to fail.
While I won't say it's the biggest disappointment of the generation. That goes to P.Ts cancelation, Final Fantasy XV and MGS The Phantom Pain. I loved RDR2 due to it's presentation, characters and story, but man, a lot of the gameplay designs and controls choices were archaic. It's still my goty of 2018, but I do have some gripes with it.

I would love to see a Tokyo Mirage Session port, but with Atlus handling the translation this time around.

As much as I loved the last three Persona games that's how I feel about the protagonist as well. I think the non-speaking MC kills the immersion in a way. It's like the main character is just playing second fiddle to the other characters.

I owned every Nintendo console (except for N64, was interested in it) I can't speak on why the Wii U flopped it was a good underrated console. Nintendo does seem to understand that a lot Switch did skip out on the Wii U so it'd be missed opportunity to make these ports. At the same Nintendo does have first party games in the works for year 3 so it isn't like they're just focused on ports.
For me it's that I don't want new titles, but I feel like there are some Wii U games that didn't get a fighting chance due to the Wii U's sales performance.Some of those games deserve a second chance.
Remember not everyone owned a Wii U hence the reason why the Switch exists. TP and WW should also be ported to the Switch as well as their I Ps that didn't get the chance they deserve on the Wii U (Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Xenoblade Chronicles X).

He's been visiting studios as well. I don't think he had that luxury while at Konami and it shows.
They don't need to implement Marvel and Star Wars (Big Hero 6 works, but that should be it)

MGSV is probably his weakest project. Up until that point KP has never never out a bad bad game.
