Really? I like it a lot. Sorry you don't. What don't you care for? The hue? The yellow line?
The banner reminds me GameCube box arts, I like the blue boxes, and I like how the Wii U boxes look nothing like Wii boxes. Maybe Nintendo has learned its lesson with the confusion between 3DS and DS games?
I think a top ten full of characters in Final Fantasy would be apropos here, too.
Nice and original list.
This article reads like a guy with pom poms cheering for/working for a company.
"Gamescom belongs to Sony, as does my heart."
I mean, REALLY? This is not from a fanboy message board post? Are you guys sure? :P
Very excited for Rayman Legends. It looks absolutely manic, sensational,and fun. This, ZombiU and NSMBU will make the Wii U launch incredible.
Sorry to single you out as you certainly aren't the only one who dabbles in stuff like this, but this kind of console war/zealot war nonsense is the exact stuff I'm constantly making fun of. Because when someone says that gaming isn't for children, I point them to such comments like this and articles like Sterling's. It's a shame that grown adults behave like total brats when hunks of plastic are concerned and video game companies. I'm talking trolls AND "fanboys&...
This looks quite interesting, even if I am a tad tired of zombies.
If you recall, the leak had more than just the characters revealed today. So far the leak has been correct 100%, I believe.
Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel would make the top of my list. I don't know if adding Metroid Prime Trilogy would be fair, but I would have it up there. Finally, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and NSMB Wii would round out my top five.
Wii has so many great games, though. I think it will be looked upon more fondly in the future. It's just an easy target right now sadly.
I'm not touching this with a 10 foot pole. This is just too subjective of a topic. One person thinks one thing is overrated while the next thinks it gets the appropriate amount of admiration.
I think it's just a sect of overly defensive fans who think (maybe or maybe nor rightfully so) that Sony takes a lot of ideas from Nintendo and see PSASBR as another shameless copy. *shrugs*
I'm outta bubbles to comment, so time to hit the gym.
I am more interested in this than NSMB2, though I do care about that game, as well. It's about time Luigi got more star power.
@LKHGFDSA
The point is that the 3DS released in Japan the same year as the September conference of that year where it ironed out all of the major details of the launch. ;)
Even with the Wii and 3DS, we didn't know price, launch, colors, launch games, etc. until the September conference. Do gamers have short term memories or something?
This procedure worked remarkably well for the Wii, so we will see if it does for the Wii U. Astonishingly, some people don't need eight months of hyping something to be excited.
Yep. That is exactly the ending point of the article!
I believe the Wii has way more than "a handful of good games" so I disagree with the opening sentence. If you are one who likes FPS games, WRPGs, and realistic racing sims, then I can see why the console wouldn't appeal to someone.
It's a nice article, regardless, though I wouldn't quite have Muramasa on there.
Yeah... No agenda there! ;)
@yesmynameissumo
I don't see how any of those are spinoffs which is what I mentioned specifically. I never even uttered the word "port." Please read my comment again. Thanks.
"Next its quite funny how you say "spin-off" as if it's a bad thing, when we're talking about a *handheld* here."
@Abash This part of your statement stood out to me. Everything else was fine. Nintendo puts full fledged numbered sequels on their handhelds including Mario Kart 7 and New Super Mario Bros. 2. Sony and third-parties are still treating the portable space like the redheaded stepchild by providing spinoffs for the most part. That is the di...
I did not understand a word of what you just wrote. Did you lay down a trap card on yourself or something, SetoKaiba?
This looks incredibly stylish. I absolutely adore the look. Can't believe this is from the Lost Planet universe.
