Those resolutions on the back were useless anyway. Games like Call of Duty were marked as 720p/1080p even though their native rez was below HD.
@Mr Logic
Most of Respawn's staffs are ex-Infinity Ward devs so it's not like it's really their first game.
If you spend your time running around to find humain pilots, you didn't understand the focus of the game. The game's about being a Titan or fighting one, which makes you encounter human players pretty easily if you do this unless the pilot left the AI mode too long on its Titan.
Honestly, I've never cared about bots during my time with this game and I thought the player count was alright.
Yeah graphics are pretty good. I had to turn all the settings to low (besides the resolution) because it wasn't running smoothly but I was too lazy to figure out the optimal parameters, and the game still looked good.
Seriously, we shouldn't accept articles listing retailer's release date as news anymore. We won't see the end of it...
You should take into account that the PS4 version (as well as PC and Xbox One) will have a better and denser crowd simulation than old-gen and WiiU versions.
But tablet features sound cool too, I just ordered Splinter Cell Blacklist for the WiiU, can't wait to play it!
@DragonKnight
Lol, eavesdropping in the first AC was a joke. You just had to sit back, relax, and listen.
I wouldn't say no more tailing missions but definitely less of it. It's more annoying than challenging.
As for the eavesdropping, I think it can be quite challenging (especially those in AC4), but they shouldn't put big narrative info in them, it's quite difficult to actually listen to what they say when you're struggling to follow them.
I'm not one of those people that say a pirate themed Assassin's Creed Game isn't an Assassin's Creed game. But an Assassin's Creed set in the wild west would be closer to Red Dead Redemption than an AC game.
@erathaol
I think it's one of those games that manages to work pretty well with multiple studios (on the exact same project, unlike Call of Duty with alternate studios).
Anyway, why would you want less people working on it and have a lesser quality (or content) product for the same price? (they won't rise the price because more people are working on it, they just expect better sales).
What I don't understand is why they let us stand by default in a "forbidden" space.
I mean in -earlier- Splinter Cells, my default stance was crouching, I rarely stood up.
I can understand why they won't give us a crouch button because stealth in the first games were about hiding into the crowds rathen than the traditionnal MGS/Splinte Cell style stealth (which has become more present in the recent episodes). They could give us a contextual stealth b...
There is also a more story related connection between FC3 and AC: if you have one of the special missions in a Japanese WW2 base, you see the Animus mentionned in a file with the Abstergo logo.
The company I work for got some partnership with nVidia. I hope we get some free GPUs as well :) (we've already received a SHIELD).
Huh, this has nothing to do with the DLC but I'm kinda lost here. In the end, is Ground Zeroes going to be released as a different game than Phantom Pain or will they be part of the same package?
Not right in the middle of the feudal period but I would prefer at the end of it, at around the same time as Total War Fall of the Samurai (and the Last Samurai but it hurts me to evoke this pile of historical nonsense).
19th century, a lot of political tension, foreign powers involved and a very quick transition from feudal Japan to a westernized empire. Plus, a lot of people got assassinated during that time!
@hakeem0996
Well, if someone play Titanfall on PC, MS is not getting paid like they would if someone played it on Xbox (no royalties for each copy) and Titanfall is not a "system seller" on PC while it could be for the Xbox One.
Still I understand your point. I mean, I'm typing this comment on a Sony Vaio Duo tablet PC with a big Windows logo stamped on it :D
@Abash
Actually, the same thing happened to me when I bought the Wii U at launch. My first console broke because I had a power outage during the big day-one firmware update. So I went to my local retailer to have it replaced and they had some in stock (I guess for circumstances like this) even though it was said that no units were left.
For me, PS3 AC3 was a lot more buggy than the PC version.
Yep I agree with CanadianTurtle. Apart from the invaded US thing seen through the eyes of civilians, there was nothing very innovative, let alone fresh about this game. I was quickly bored at how generic was its gameplay.
And graphically, it was worse than COD (even at the time of its release), and it still managed to run slower on my PC
Yeah, it makes like... less dynamic...
