Right?
All they need to do is advance it a bit....like, give it a touch pad on the back that would resemble something like the VITA.
DUAL SHOCK/SIX AXIS has been great and there's no need to fix what isn't broken. :)
What alot of people just can't seem to grasp,
Is that the world crisis has been kicking everyone's ass....not just consumers, but retail, to developers, to publishers, to the console makers themselves. So many devs and publishers have been going bankrupt and shuttered in record numbers this gen.
New tech, with new next gen graphics costs more $....significantly. If you want more of them to go out of business sure....bring on new consoles in a worldwide crisis and r...
:)
At E3, I just witnessed some of the greatest games ever.....
I saw THE LAST OF US.
I saw a TECHNICAL MARVEL in BEYOND 2 SOULS.
I saw WATCH DOGS
I'm getting another great GOD OF WAR game
And then, we've still got Gamescom and Toykyo Game show coming up where we're gonna get more awesome greatness.
If you're bored with all of this, then I might suggest you take a little break away from gaming like I did i...
Both it and Crytek are overrated.....at least for consoles.
Crysis 2 was not only crappy in its framerate, and had pop ins and other crappy artifacts, but it was SUB HD to boot.
Not only that, but Crysis 2 wasn't even that great of a game.
get out.
Tired of getting AAA TOP OF LINE games like THE LAST OF US?
Tired of getting TECHNICAL MARVELS like BEYOND 2 Souls.
Tired of getting Games like WATCHDOGS?
What's there to be tired of?
Seriously, but if you are tired of getting stuff like that, you might consider taking a break from video games for a little while. I myself took such a break from 2007 until Jan 2009. It was a much needed break, and you may consider doing ...
How is this gonna be any different from ONLIVE's console that's not even allowed in Gamestop's parking lot?
Edit in:
@WeskerChildReborned.......On live has a console, and they don't sell software. Notice how you've never seen it in ANY US retail brick store anywhere....Same fate will become of OUYA if it has no software. It will be locked out of retail.
and
JBSleek.....
Amazon can help....but brick retail...
Activisions whole business structure is predicated on selling as many games on as many platforms as possible.
You even imply that Call Of Duty would become exclusive to Microsoft's console(s).
Ok.....well lets do some quick math:
For every 10 million COD units they sell, that equals approx $300,000,000 gross to the publisher. You could even argue that they'd sell 15 million easy....but then that's approx $450,000,000.....and I'll even...
1. Activision is a company that makes multiplatform games....that's how their whole business is structured. Microsoft buying that would be a loss to both Activision AND to Microsoft.
2. We've already seen that when it comes to creative and artistic talent.....Microsoft can't manage it's way out of a wet paper bag.
Microsoft closed ENSEMBLE, did away with ACES, messed up FASA, and shuttered DIGITAL ANVIL.
Microsoft has been no earthl...
And not having a true harddrive in every unit means you're going to have a substantial ammount of your consumers not able and/or not interested in your online wares.....that's not a good thing in 2012.
Also, here we are 4 months away, and we still don't know all that much about the thing....
That's also not a good thing.
We'll see, I guess.
I'll stick to my consoles thanks.
Edit in...The only game I was truly interested in that actually made me angry I wasn't gonna get on my console was GUILD WARS 2.
Lo and behold....turns out I'll be getting that on my PS3, so I'm good. :)
When My Jell like monster died (his name was "Dumb"), it was the First time in gaming where I actually felt sad on an emotional level.
Bring this back please.
I'd imagine they could bring back the old ones with GAIKAI. :)
I'm glad NC SOFT listened to my pleas.
:P
EA was so publicly embarrassed, that the endings they were gonna sell us, they gave us for free.
If that isn't winning, then I don't know what is.
Capcom's a little more stubborn, obviously,
But I bet you they don't try this DISK LOCKED CONTENT crap again.....I'd bet you.
Gamers won.
We won with a combination of "wallet speak" and a combination of complaining which led to public embarrassment, whi...
Because it was the complaining that got Capcom publicly embarrassed and downgraded with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
It was also the complaining that publicly embarrassed EA and got them nominated as THE WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA.
All of the complaining got EA to cease their rip off scheme of trying to sell us "better endings".
Yes, we should speak with our wallets, for sure.....but we should also complain and speak with our proverbial voices ...
Just as the VITA is.
Also, this is exactly why I don't want a PS4 any earlier than holiday 2014. Because if we wait, then we can get good hardware that will be able to last and do well through 2022 or so.
I'm thinking something along the lines of an ATI 7950 or possibly a 7970. One of those GPUs would definitely be doable and possible come 2014 at mass production levels.
As the old saying goes:
"THE BEST THINGS COME TO...
Personally, I would just never pay to play random games online.....not ever.
-my take.
It's Microsoft's responsibility and onus to restore RARE, if in fact it's true about RARE being less than it was....
Unfortunately as we know, Microsoft is creatively bankrupt, and like the old saying goes.....
"THE BLIND CAN'T LEAD THE BLIND"
Edit in.....Maybe we should change that old saying to
"THE BLIND CAN'T LEAD THE RARE"
:P
Sony, for example, has a sort of deal with DIRECT TV.
What if that and other services (DISH) expand to consoles and/or other set top boxes?
Just kicking more options to you. :)
