A bit fanboyish but tbh pretty accurate.
As shown by the wii there are more casual sales to be had than hardcore and although I wouldn't really say Kinect is that inovative, it certainly looks that way to casuals.
You show the casual gamers (the people that will most buy into motion controlled games) move or Kinect and they will love the whole 'you are the controller' because to them it's something they haven't seen before. Move on the oth...
When killzone 3 was first shown I thought it looks slightly better than 2 but I must say, looking at the games side by side killzone 3 has made some significant improvements, not least with the wider colour palette.
the second also seems to have used a lot more blur to mask the backgrounds but not so with 3 as seen in the first screenshot. I think this is more down to the art style than anything though but i'm so glad they lightened killzone up a bit. It's all well an...
ooo what's this on the front of my MoH case... invitation to the BF3 :o so there is a beta!!!????
ps+ seems to be a worthwhile purchase so far. Got to try out a few betas (and more to come this year), discounts off games I was interested in buying in the first place and free games I wasn't interested in but was pleasently suprirsed when i downloaded my free game i.e. i'd never heard of shatter before but was free on psn the other month and I loved it.
Yes if I stop subscribing i'll lose any free downloads but at the end of the day I pay the same amount for 12 ...
Looking forward to it. I dunno why people get so worked up about numbers, what does it matter if it's rated lower than you were expecting to, if you enjoy the game you enjoy the game.
This paragraph pretty much sums up why despite a low score (mainly for story) the game is very much worth owning:
It's this idea that separates a run of the mill first-person shooter from what I like to think of as a first-person experience. And Killzone 3, Sony's la...
One time I was flanking round the side on firing range to get to an objective, I came across a player and killed them, walked about 10 foot and got killed by the player i just killed because he spawned behind me from where I came! It just takes any strategy out of the game and means luck comes way before skill as it's pretty much whoever see's whoever first
in the entire series history there hasn't been a year when there hasn't been a call of duty or call of duty expansion (united offensive etc).
I guess the only interesting thing is that if it's MW3 then it's gonna be exactly like black ops/mw2/waw/cod4 where as if it's sledgehammers own project it may actually be a fresh new take on COD which it desperately needs. The last 4 years of COD have basically been the same game re-skinned
I am interested in this game but it's a shame when it releases.
2 weeks after killzone 3 and bulletstorm and 2 weeks before Crysis 2.
And those are just the big shooters, there's plenty of other games in different genres to take gamers money such as Dragon Age 2 releasing the same day.
The big problem for THQ is even if this turns out to be a really good shooter it doesn't have the brand recognition of other games releasing within...
Most likely this doesn't account for digital downloads (I imagine a lot of pc gamers don't bother with hard copies anymore, I know I don't) but found this interesting taken from Eurogamer regarding the UK all formats chart:
"Despite an alluring PS3 bundle - with Dead Space: Extraction thrown in for free - it was the Xbox 360 version with the lion's share of sales: 56 per cent. The PS3 commanded only 40 per cent (the PC filled the remaining 4 per cent).&qu...
It means the ps3 version didn't have a mp demo like the 360 currently has running and any other footage you see floating around the net will most likely be pc footage since it's obviously going to be the best version.
I could be wrong but I'm expecting the ps3 version to be as good if not slightly better than the 360 version based on footage shown of the engine running on both consoles and comments by Crytek themselves.
Simply put a lack of ps3 fo...
". As you can see from the video below the game appears to be the PS3 version of Metal Gear Solid 4, possibly showing off the remote play features"
Pretty sure Kojima said it was a port he'd knocked up so it was running on NGP and some people at the event commented that some details on background textures had been lost but the character models were still as good as ps3's.
Tbh though although bluray allows a lot of storage I think it's sa...
2nd video is so well done tbh
Yes but the 360 comment hardly suggests 'families hate xbox 360'
Hates a strong word when they basically just said the felt it was stupid that you had to use a pc to sign up to a trial
title's very misleading considering this is the only thing said about the 360 "You can do everything else on the Xbox. I don't understand why you can't sign up for your free trial of Netflix through your Xbox"
Not a great comparison considering the resolutions are incorrect + you'll only be playing the psp version on a 5" screen.
The shots of the game on psp look impressive when you take this into consideration. It's like when I view standard quality tv channels on my 37" bravia, but when I view PAP with them displayed in a much smaller window the detail looks amazing
Well it makes sense that 1 model would come with 3g and the other wouldn't else customers who arn't interested in 3g will be paying for it regardless
I thought the new psp would either try and contend with the phone market or go for high end graphics, hardcore games etc etc... glad they went this route after seeing some of the footage emerge.
My only concern now is the price... £300 min?
"Battlefield 1943 proved downloadable FPS can be good, this one takes it to another level"
I wanna clarify by saying I know this is a cheaper game, made by much smaller devs etc etc however...
This game does not take it 'to another level' imo. I mean yes it has more maps, modes and weapons compared to 1943 but 1943 was certainly a better experience and a much much more polished game. Quantity doesn't equal quality.
Each ...
At first I was like well it's something different but I think i only played it for the time I did cus it was a new game cus looking back and can't see myself playing it again, in fact it made me enjoy black ops more! lmao
anyway at least it's not as bad as breach (a game I actually had high hopes for, and that's twice as much!)
I just checked loners submissions and he's only submitted 1 killzone 3 review... this one
