I will be buying switch games, the limited editions just so I don't miss out.. I already pretty ordered zelda.
but I will wait for the hardware to drop in price before I buy
i'l be surprised if they even show up to e3 this year
people are right when they say it looks too big to be something you'd carry around with you. you need a rucksack to carry that thing around.
if/when the switch drops to 199, i will consider it. xenoblade chronicles is one of my fav games ever so im very excited that they are releasing a sequel. it will be tempting to buy a switch when xeno 2 is released.
but as for buying a switch on release day? not a chance
why does the ui of a system so expensive look so cheap?
i dont like the box that the switch comes packaged in.
nintendo dont have the resources to make games to the scale of 4x switch graphics. it takes them about 6 years to make games like 1-2 switch, splatoon and nintendoland, it would take nintendo an eternity to make an actual graphics rich game.
in factt you could give nintendo the most powerful hardware in the world and they would probably still make warioware.
i made this prediction before the reveal
''i have a switch
its graphics are on par, if not a little worse than wiiu's. breath of wild on switch has a visual downgrade from the wiiu version
not many games available at launch. im stuck playing breath of wild and a bunch of wiiu ports. so basically, i now have a new wiiu.
battery life is poor
internal memory storage is poor
i used to see nintendo as the only hope for gaming with the rise of microtransactions, paid dlc, patches and paywalls.
everything that is wrong with the games industry, and which i also thought nintendo were immune to- nintendo are becoming consumed by. they used to lead the way, now they jump on the bandwagon.
it only makes complete sense to a raving lunatic
people used to say i was tripping when i said mario 3d world and mario galaxy 2 werent true 3d mario games. just a collection of glorified obstacle courses. now miyamoto says so himself.
im glad we are actually getting a proper 3d mario game, looks awesome
@fiveby9
dont hold your breath for a price drop, i waited the entire lifetime of the wiiu for one and it never came.
i cant believe i was actually foolish enough to believe red dead redemption was the video they were teasing with the 1-2 switch reveal. ugh. even red steel 3 would have been acceptable. 1-2 switch is a smack in the face.
i have never actually seen such a harsh response from the games media as i have with the switch reveal. normally journalists are more reserved but i have seen some stop short of saying the switch is a total waste of time.
not looking go...
id expect it to be a collectors edition for that price. but for a standard edition in this day and age.. ridiculous to expect people to pay 60
i think you are wrong. it simply looks like the snap was taken when the focal point was in a different place. if the player moved the camera a tiny bit, the tree/log/leaves would probably be in sharper focus.
nintendo are fully aware they can not compete with a core system anymore. by making a gimmick driven console they create a niche for themselves in the market.
ie its nintendo clinging on for dear life any way they can
OMG thanks for this, im going there straight away! im going to be rich!
doesnt the game have a real time day/weather system? that could mean that the comparisons could be taken at slightly different times of the day with slight variations in the light.
ie one video compared with another of the same scene could appear to have more contrast simply because the sun was in a different place.
the presentation addressed certain issues with previous shows- this one was extremely clear and concise, almost to the point of being patronising.
but the main problem with the presentation was what they were presenting. i mean, 1-2 switch is not a good way to set the tone. its a non-game. the fact they started the presentation with that game says a lot about nintendo's priorities. they desperately want the casuals on board, wii style. its not going to happen, especiall...
I still dislike that the switch dock has the switch written on the side with that massive logo. Same for the control dock. Makes it look tacky. As if an owner wouldn't know it's a switch. It should be more discreet.
Xenoblade 2 is the most exciting thing. Mario looks great. Zelda is the obvious big draw... But will i fork out 300+ to play these three games littered throughout the year... No
only people who drink kool aid believed that
