LOL@Masterfox.
Console fanboys like you sure do tell great stories about having a PC that you really don't have to try and compare to console games. You know it's awful funny that when a game is no longer exclusive to your console you guys suddenly become quiet about the console graphics vs PC. I remember back in the Dark Soul game days about how beautiful it looked according to console players and that PC could not match it, then suddenly when it became available f...
Froy402, except the console is not where sony or ms make their profits, its GAMES. Sony owns Naughty dog studios. They would still get profit off that game whether it was on pc or ps4.
Im glad you understand this. Me as a pc gamer think everyone should be able to play. If you can't afford pc then go console. The issue i have is when sony fanboys get angry when i say sony should release TLOU on pc too. They act like that game is their little precious and think it would hurt sony somehow, when it would double their sales!
The series x is for higher graphic fidelty without having to undersand how to build a pc or spend more on pc. Software is what makes money. Fanboys disagree.
Dovergamer, if they released those same games on pc also they would get MORE SELLS. What part of your brain cannot comprehend this??? Consoles are built for low income people and people who cannot build a pc. You can cry or get made all you want but facts are facts. Sounds to me like you are saying that if TLOU was on PC too, that it would hurt sells. It WOULD NOT. Sony could get the sells from ps4 AND pc instead of just ps4. Its simple math. Pc+console is a bigger market that just console.
Because you are ignoring software sales. They will get huge market if they sell across many platforms. The potential is billions of people reached instead of 100's of millions.
Well they could have doubled their game sales if they also released those games on pc. PC+console instead of just console.
If sony put all those games on pc then you would still buy the ps4 because you dont want to spend a lot of money or maybe you dont know how to build a pc. That is fine because that is what the console was built for. Being exclusive or not exclusive does not matter. Game sales do. Consoles are sold at a loss.
BlaqMagiq1, Not really, because there are 1.2 billion pc players plus the 40 million xbox players. So ms is doing very well. Sony sold only 105 million or so ps4's. Software is what makes the money. Console is only made so that people like you who cant build a pc or have the money can still play their games.
Honestly you console fanboys have issues. So what if the games arent exclusive? The money maker is SOFTWARE. Consoles are made so that people who dont have the money or intelligence to build a pc can still play the games that help sony and ms profit on game sales.
Except blu ray is a dead format. No PC builder puts blu ray players or DVD players in their computers. You can't even buy a new car with a CD player anymore......The internet is so fast and cheap that nearly everyone just streams now or uses their cell phone. Also, SSD has been mainstream in PC since at least 2009. The author of that article is just retarded.
I can tell the author has never owned or built a PC. No PC builder in the last 10 years puts their main operating system (OS) on a hard drive anymore. It's 2019, about to be 2020. SSD has been mainstream now for about 10 years. Hard drives are only used for long term storage where you need to store huge amounts of data for cheap because a high capacity SSD is expensive. It's how everyone and their grandma builds a PC. You buy 256 GB to 1 TB SSD and put your WIndows OS and games on it,...
Nope. The new king is the GIGABYTE AORUS NVMe Gen4 M.2 1TB PCIE 4.0. Totally wrecks the 970 pro.
@Jin_Sakai
That was before July 7th 2019. On that day AMD released the 3000 series CPU and new motherboards. This new design supports NVME PCIE 4.0, which is twice as fast as PCIE 3.0. Again, facts change when new products arrive.....Now Intel systems will be stuck with PCIE 3.0. They are behind AMD. AMD is the real innovator, which makes sense to use their designs in consoles and not Intel's.
It's their numbers from that stupid article.
Sorry, but AMD has literally destroyed Intel's entire CPU line up when it comes to performance. You just downgraded if you went with an Intel i9 CPU. They don't even have PCIE 4.0 like AMD does. This means anyone with AMD 3000 series CPU will have better SSD performance and better multi-tasking performance than Intel CPU setups. You should consider getting a true upgrade by getting an AMD 3900x, which is a 12 core CPU that kills everything from Intel or go with a 3700x that also kills...
It uses the new 3000 series AMD CPU's, which uses PCIE 4.0. Anyone that has a 3000 series CPU from AMD will be on parity to this PS5's ssd transfer speeds. Articles like this are dumb and only cause tension between PC and console players. Now if you own Intel CPU's or use 2000 series or lower AMD CPU, then the PS5 will beat your computer's SSD.
That article is the dumbest thing I've ever read. I thought my eyes would get cancer. The 300 watts is the MAX power. No game pulls a constant 300 watts, but instead will cause the power draw to move up and down as the scene changes in the game. The AVERAGE power is what you want to look for. Also, no gamer plays games long enough for it to really matter. The console will spend more time idling at lower power than it would be running a game.....
The AC/Heat pump hogs w...
Except you ignored the fact that AMD is supplying the same components that PC gamers can buy. I own a AMD 3800X, 8 core CPU and currently a AMD RX570, but I will get the new Navi RDNA 2 card from AMD when it arrives in early 2020. Also, games are targeting instructions directly on AMD CPU's instead of through Windows software. There was a game that did not work, not because of software but because of hardware feature that required an actually BIOS update to enable HARDWARE!. The game was ...
You console fanboys keep on talking about closed systems and optimizations this or that, blah, blah..., but what you guys fail to realize is that the CPU's in these new consoles and previous consoles (ps4 and xbox one) are X86, which IS THE PC. It's been the PC cpu architecture since the 1970's.There is no optimizations you can do to something that has been optimized since the 70's!! I don't care if it's closed or not, the X86 cpu is what all PC's use and it's ...
