I am so sick of shooters. They're all the same. They're all only 8-hours long with boring, uninspired multiplayer with lame perks. I wouldn't want to see another 5-7 year generation of dull, generic, military gray and sci-fi brown shooters cluttering up the shelves. Make us something meaningful already.
Cool, now N4G can finally enchant CoD. Sales = Quality.
8/10 is a great score. Perhaps this site doesn't throw 10/10 scores like candy similar to IGN and to a lesser extent GameSpot. The scoring system really sickens me at the emerging of perfect 10 reviews. GTA IV is an excellent game, but my opinion of the game would be much closer to 9/10 than a 10.
It's good Square-Enix made an attempt to fix some of what was broken about FFXIII. I have a little more respect for Square-Enix because of that even if this new game still h...
Good point, however you pointed out the metacritic page for the PS3 version, which has many angry PS3 gamers that their Skyrim is defective and broken while the other two versions are more playable by a mile. PC and 360 versions have significantly higher metascores than the PS3 version. By reading some of the comments on the Skyrim PS3 metacritic page you'll know why the PS3 game got such a low user score.
Bethesda's ES and FO games are fantastic, but the PS3 version ...
I am talking about SP content, but thanks for telling me. Multiplayer these days are slapped on and used to artificially extend the length of what is actually a short game. AND THE MULTIPLAYER IS ABOUT THE SAME ON ALL SHOOTERS. A very popular multiplayer doesn't change the fact CoD is well under 8-hours. It's like a cake that has icing that taste better than the actual cake itself.
Games like Skyrim boasts hundreds of hours worth of SP content, but no crappy run of th...
To the point your game is only 8-hours long without it.
Well yes telling everyone to boycott Skyrim just because they release a bad port for a particular system is stupid, however Bethesda has no excuse to release a defective game and singling out any platform. Anyone has the right to be pissed off as I am currently as $60 came out of gamers' pockets to play on a system of their choice. Me and my GF own the game on PC and my brother plays the PS3 version, I play Skyrim on PS3 as well for the trophies. We both have lag issues (we both have our ...
Ugh. This is why gamers complain this is the worst console generation ever. They are right about their complaints. I own the game on PC but my brother owns the PS3 version and Bethesda dropped the ball. Why is Bethesda getting away with this? And why are some gamers say having defective games acceptable? Ugh, at this point I lost respect for the gaming industry as they consist of the world's worst professional programmers and really hope for another video games crash.
You're not the problem. Developers can't seem to make a worthwhile game nowadays. The good games we play are only exceptions like Skyrim, Witcher 2, Dark Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes. Square-Enix lost its touch with their fans that have saved their (Square's) ass from going out of business. Other game publishers release either a shitty gray dull military first person shooter, an 8-hour run of the mill brown third person shooter disguised as an "adventure," or a "gam...
And PC is the most profitable platform for games. And PCs are used to develop games for consoles.
No shooter nowadays take skill. They all have regenerative health, an abundance of cover, an excess of ammo, and checkpoints every 30 seconds to hold your hand. *snore*
By best graphics they mean best graphics on console. UC3 deserved that award because it does have the best graphics a console game could ever give you. I understand BF3 has better but I personally find that game a borefest the graphics don't matter. I personally hate shitty run of the mill military war shooters, like we haven't already seen 29,401 of them within the past 5 years.
Like the PS family of systems MS probably wants to continue supporting their past systems for the casual crowd, or for the young gamers (12 and under) as they still have potential after the adult, core gamers have moved onto the latest & greatest technology. Xbox 1 didn't continue post 360 launch, hope things will be different for the 360 as it is a much more successful console.
Wow. Stop trolling people!
I can't believe so many console fanboys are trolling on a PC article with lame and false blanket statements that PC gamers never buy their games. Never mind digital sales don't count in sales charts as they only count retail, and the retail charts don't even include all major retailers that deal with PC games. If that's the case PC gaming would've been dead a long time ago, apparently it's the most profitable platform of games right now and indies (which are some of th...
3D Dot Game Heroes, or a similar game to it using voxels by From Software, like a FF1 homage.
This is Japan we're talking about, Sony's backyard, where the PSP did best. For the Vita to do this poorly in Japan, it's a little worrying, especially when it is doing worse than the once "doomed" 3DS ever did. The Vita won't flop if the PS3 is anything to go by but it does have a lot of room for improvements, like cheaper memory cards by third parties, given Sony will never drop their prices anytime soon. And how much of these sales are imports? I imported my syste...
No. Make a new game on the roots of the older FF titles with modern twists. I am sick of companies like Square-Enix fixing what wasn't broken and then relying on remakes of entire old games to stay profitable. This is telling us Square-Enix cannot make good new games anymore. Move on and focus on improving your games, Square-Enix, your company and your games are turning to shit. Stop living in the glory days of FFIV. We've already played that game before. No need to remake that same g...
If I am not mistaken, in terms of visuals the PS3 version has the edge of the two console versions. The 360 performance is more stable supposedly although I haven't played Skyrim on a 360. In my experience the PS3 version would usually play smoothly until you play it for 4-6 hours and the framerate would drop drastically to the point it feels like a slideshow in more CPU intense portions of the game, like a blizzard in a town, a deep forest, or a dragon encounter. I'd have to exit the...
I have both.
