Expect the future of gaming to get worse. I don't agree with this online pass but I am just one person. The majority of gamers will accept this and the industry will move on to always-on DRM requiring a permanent connection to the console manufacturer's network for games, even on SP modes. And ultimately a cloud system where we will not own our games and the company will have every right to discontinue games whenever they please with no compensation or refund.
I don...
It's incredible. When XBL bans thieves off the XBL service it is a blasphemy but when PSN bans the same violators it is "it's against the ToS"
Sony fanboys and their hypocrisy. Let the disagrees and bubble down votes roll! :)
Cool story bro. Write a 14-chapter fiction!
Nintendo is making way too many mistakes this upcoming 8th generation. First, the system was incredibility overpriced, now this s***storm. The thing looks appalling like the SEGA CD attachment, like really? This is embarrassing for Nintendo.
I hope this peripheral will fail. It looks appalling at best and incredibly uncomfortable to use at worst. Seriously, Nintendo should just stick with the single circle pad, it is sure a lot better than the DS which has no analog controls.
I dunno what Nintendo was thinking about this. They're turning the 3DS to a portable Sega Genesis with SEGA CD attachment. Oh well, at least the system will still sell like hotcakes.
@Blm Thug
How? Higher price point that the majority won't spend over the 3DS cheaper price point in this economy? Better graphics that really weren't proven a major selling point that pushes the system ahead of the competition? Spinoffs of God of War and Uncharted with significantly lower sales than Mario and Pokemon games?
If all the above were true, the PSP would've crushed the DS by now. Looks like the PSP did the worst in sales this generation...
i use da 3d on my 3ds looks liek ur post r proven rong al redy
being a troll.....i mean true gamer sucks.
Yay more DLC! More reasons to spend money on a game you already purchased for $60!
@Farsendor "don't fully support drm but the developrs and publishers need to do something to keep pirates inline. "
Which DRM is not the way to go. DRM has been proven around the clock it is a broken solution for protecting their games. Spore is one example, it has been pirated significantly more than any non-DRM game and pirates get to enjoy the game without DRM. The consumer, the one paying for the game are the only ones putting up with the bulls*** that is DR...
Yes I am comparing this gen to others. What are you going to do about it?
This generation is a step backward if anything. Games are getting shorter, less stable, less complete, less interesting, and costlier. All replaced with ZOMG AMAZING ONLINE MULTIPLAYER ACTION, GRAPHICZ AND SOUND!!!1
Oh and you're an Xbox gamer. What does that have to do with this discussion at hand? Console wars? Really?
2 disks!?!? Wow, look at all the hard work having to change the disk once to complete a game. OMG that is a lot of work! I cannot get up from the couch because I am way too lazy and getting fatter by the week.
Many times, even with all the patches the game is still broken. What has happened to quality game testing?
rofl this generation of console gaming is turning to s**t. Developers are getting lazier and lazier by the year, releasing games broken on launch when all previous generations had higher standards for stability in games. Like really, what isn't a 7th gen game without glaring bugs and glitches haunting your playthrough and mega patches that don't even fix them all? Stability for games has gone down the toilet. Even worse, the masses are eating it up.
Microsoft has way more corporate advertisement than Sony so no they don't need KB. Although they could use some comedy in their advertisements. Sony generally relies on word of mouth marketing, which is respectable. Many PS3 fans spread the word to other gamers which end up with more buyers. I respect Sony for this.
I am a true Xbox fan and I enjoy all systems. Would you call me a brainwashed xbot?
lol
This will help push Kinect/Xbox360 sales!!!
Consoles sure offer a "unique" experience of fast food convenience but PCs are for the quality whores that want the most out of the games they love. Consoles have no 1080p - 60FPS in the majority of AAA games, no mod support (a MAJOR downfall), closed online infrastructure, bugs and glitches in games that cannot be fixed with a custom patch. PCs are far more than about "graphics"
PC elites don't crave this "unique" experience of console gamin...
The problem is he supports online passes. If you support online passes (which is NOT designed for the gamer in mind), why are you expecting not to get ripped off? People don't think, really.
