I think they are the most genuine devs out there right now.
The Witcher 3 is one of the best games ever made and I'm eagerly awaiting Cyberpunk 2077 news. That wait is going to suck
Yeah the wait for Halo 3 felt like a lifetime haha. I'll never forget when the black screen came up after Chief said "Sir, finishing this fight" and we got to finish the credits instead along with a 3 year wait.
I'm not sure if Halo 5 will beat out the original trilogy in terms of innvoation but it'll come pretty damn close in terms of an amazing Halo game.
Like you it's my personal GOTY tied with The Witcher 3.
And...
Balancing issues, gameplay needs some work, and replayability may become an issue if there's not a lot of variety. Keep in mind this an opinion off of the beta but aside from that they captured the Star Wars vibe perfectly. I was just hoping for a game more akin to the original Battlefront games but this new one is fun to jump in for a little while since it isn't really rage inducing and winning as a Rebel is satisfying.
It's been going downhill when support for MW2 came to a stop. Black Ops 1 was decent but it didn't match MW2 in my opinion.
When you produce a game like CoD every year without the people who created the franchise it just becomes stagnant. BO3 isn't even Call of Duty anymore. There hasn't been a true CoD since MW3 essentially but that game was trash.
Depending on how BO3 does in comparison to past titles I can sense a shift from Activision wher...
Im still placing the bet that it'll hit a comfortable 90-92 metacritic. I don't see how it could be any less than an 88 at the least. Within 10 minutes of the beta I already liked it more than Reach and 4. It doesn't deserve less than Halo 4 because it's literally a better game.
This should have just been a new IP just called Wildlands. It looks pretty cool but it isn't Ghost Recon. Hopefully this isn't downgraded like almost every Ubisoft game thus far into this gen.
Oh you mean the type who probably jumped into Halo at 3 and fail to realize that even with sprint Halo 4 is a slower paced game than Halo CE and a tad slower than Halo 2?
Halo yet again sets the bar for the FPS genre. These 2 weeks are going to be painful
Jesus christ 2 more weeks. 2 more weeks. I might actually implode.
Obviously Microsoft plays a large role in the Halo development but Halo 5 in particular is a prime example of fan service aside from split-screen. It combines the great storytelling from 343 with the arena based gameplay that Bungie nailed years ago. It's one of the most if not the most definitive Halo release thus far.
I agree with you 100%. This isn't a game I'm just going to give up on after a month or even a few months. Having this type of content rolled out gradually at a time where they can function as promised is perfectly fine by me.
343 have really supplied exceptional amount of content for Halo 5 and I can't see how that's anything but a good thing.
Sega, you need to become the powerhouse you once were in the 90's to say you're on the right track. Ever since you guys went third-party you've been fumbling ever since. You're sitting on so many great IP but would rather dig Sonic a deeper grave.
I loved this game on the OG Xbox. My cousins and I would play this day and night when we were in elementary school. Fun times.
Kind of glad it was cut. Would seem too gimmicky when the rest of the gameplay is nothing like that.
It was sort of that way from Halo CE to Halo 3 since he didn't talk much and wasn't that developed in game. Halo 4 took that away by giving him a stronger personality which I personally like better. I don't want Chief as a Gordon Freeman lol
Yeah I agree. Fallout 4 craze did die down a bit after the nuke they launched at E3 probably because people are just really content the fact it's coming and Bethesda not going out of their way to over hype it.
To be honest I think Battlefront is overhyped for what it is. I just can't see spending $60 on it after playing the beta. Doesn't have the Battlefront feel or look from the older games.
BO3 doesn't even seem hyped as much as CoD normall...
Playing it right now and I'm not a fan. I feel like I'm playing Battlefield with Star Wars sounds and overheating weapons. I can't see paying $60 if this is representative of the final game.
I miss Battlefront 1 now.
This.
@PizzaSteve How is that an opinion when the game differs from CoD so much? TTK, map design, no classes, equal starts, weapon pickups, on field traits like Ovi/Invis, penalty to sprinting away from encounters, etc. Is it different than past Halos? Sure, but the soul of Halo 2 and 3 are there.
You said to Septic you know more about Halo and CoD when I guarantee I know more about how each game functions than you by tenfold.
I predict that when Locke catches up to Chief they will have a conflict of words which then Locke engages Chief and leads to a fight scene. Chief barely gets the upper hand then tells Locke his true intent and the rest I'm not sure
