If they can do it for $199-$299 I will bite.
@DarkOcelet Sure there are "reasons" why REQ packs cost money (HCS prize pool, free maps, etc.) but I don't agree with it and it has no place in Halo. Same with UC4.
Gears 4 most likely will since Gears 3 started the weapon skins microtransactions BS.
The new focus on the gaming industry is so trash that everything needs microtransactions, DLC, an open world that doesn't work or make every game MOBA-fied.
We need a change.
I'm just happy this game exists. I loved SotC so I have no doubt I'll love this game.
I don't know why you're getting disagrees. Maybe it's the newer generation of gamers who succumb to this type of practice.
I don't care what anyone says, microtransactions are a plague among gaming. Years ago the things you're all paying $2.99 for were unlockables in game.
Our hobby is becoming a form of gambling and I'm honestly really sick and tired of it.
Takes me back to when Halo 2 and 3 shattered industry records among all media.
Really tempted to get my hands on one since I'm going to be sticking with Halo 5 MP for a long long time.
Haven't played an FPS this competitively in years,
It almost feels like coming out of retirement. Thank you 343 for getting the MP spot on.
I honestly think MW2 is better looking than the ones afterwards from an art style point of view. That game surprisingly holds up well.
It's stupid that Activision didn't make BO3 current gen only. All the sales are going to come from XONE and PS4 anyway.
We'll be going back to a Halo for the first time since 3 and Locke will be reduced to a supporting role like Arby in 3.
Master Chief will conclude his story in Halo 6. I havea feeling.
These and the Destiny live action trailers make me want to puke. It doesn't represent the game at all.
...but I love Heavy Rain and Beyond.
OT: I like Deus Ex but this guy is wrong. Especially by throwing Uncharted in the mix.
I really want Nintendo to make a console that can revitalize what they had with the N64 and Gamecube with the features that Xbox and Playstation already offer but with the Nintendo spice.
Nintendo should be aiming for what Sony does really well which is the mass appeal. Sony caters to both Western and Eastern audiences very well with having casual and mature games that are tailored to different cultures. Nintendo has the opportunity to do that unlike Microsoft which can't...
@rbaily Wait you think AW has a better campaign than Halo 5...? I know it's your opinion but ever since MW2 every CoD plot has been almost identical with different characters and timeframe. It's always a revenge story that concludes with you on the brink of death then perform a few QTE's that makes you reach for a weapon and then a button mash prompt and then you save the day.
Only thing AW had going for it was Kevin Spacey but even that wasn't enough.
...
I'm very into the Halo lore so the story was really good in my eyes with the exception of a few things like character development in-game was poor.
I wish they made the campaign more grounded in the sense that someone who's not familiar with the EU could get what's going on. Hopefully they understand this during Halo 6's development.
I would be sad. Halo has been my bread and butter go to game since Combat Evolved.
Halo is a special series and many don't see that and that is fine but when you grow up with a game like Halo and you are captivated by the world within it, it has an effect on you.
Halo CE was the first game that made me think that games aren't just "games" anymore. Sure I was young and didn't have a ton of gaming history behind me but without Halo I would...
That's why they're having a beta.
Hyped.
Fun fact, Joe Staten who wrote the Halo games under Bungie and wrote Destiny is the voice actor for the Grunts.
Not 100% if the Halo 5 Grunts are because I know 4's weren't but it does sound like him.
Take that Pachter.
Consoles are alive and kicking.
Fellow Xbox brethren please support this game. We need more games like this on Xbox.
