Wow, that's pretty good support. More than 1 game a month (average) for the 3DS. Wii U is also pretty good for third party support. I guess SEGA does generally do well on Nintendo platforms.
I loved Super Monkey Ball, so I'm hoping for another one. And I'm pretty excited for Sonic Boom because it's ex-Naughty Dog guys doing it. My expectations are high for Sonic Boom, considering that it's a sonic game.

I think Aonuma said E3 2013 that he would be talking about Zelda U next E3, which is June 2014.
They will show something for sure. I don't know if they'll have a release date though.

I think his point is that the PS3 took 2ish years to bounce back, the Wii U could do the same. It will probably never reach 50 million sales, but it could still do better than what it's doing now.
Your point about the gamepad? It's actually good. If Sony ever came out with an optional tablet controller (and used it it well) I think it would sell. Like the Vita thing, except with even better functionality and cheaper.

I don't think it's being "milked to death" if "Hoenn Confirmed" became an internet meme (due to speculation), and fan demand has been around since the remakes of gold and silver. It's giving into fan demand, and it shows they have been somewhat listening to their fans.
It's been 11 years since Ruby and Sapphire came out. And Hoenn had awesome music and secret forts!

Maybe the plan is to have low expectations so when they pass those expectations(if they do), it will look good.
Kinda the opposite of the 9mil-2.8 forecast. That was terrible, but the fact that they predicted 9mil at first made it look even worse.

In Fire Emblem Awakening for example, one of the comments when 2 guys have a high "Hubba Meter" rating, the old guy just says "Whatever floats yer boat".
I think they just didn't want to include it in this game. Not every games has to have social commentary on the issue, right?

That function was never meant to be in the game anyway...it would've been censored in the states even if it had been in the Japanese version, just like they censored Vivian's gender in Paper Mario TYD.
Also, remember in Fire Emblem Awakening if you use the Hubba meter on 2 males, and they have a really high rating (like 3 hearts) the old dude just goes "Whatever floats yer boat." IMO, that's Nintendo's "social commentary" on the LGBT commu...
Why is everyone downvoting this guy? No console has ever sold 200 million. It's not impossible, but it's very, very difficult.
I think PS4 could reach PS2 numbers at best, about 150 million. That's almost double PS3 numbers, so it's really, really good.
In any case, Sony is gonna make tons of money off the PS4.
To be fair, I don't hear people talking about the PS4 and Xbox One where I am either. People don't talk about video games very often in everyday conversation.
I don't think anyone expects the Wii U to lead the market (even die-hard Nintendo fans don't see it leading the market). At best, I think it will reach N64 sales at best and gamecube level sales at worst. 15 million to 30 million.

Nintendo has had LGBT characters in games before. Usually it's censored in the US.
I think Tony from the Earthbound series was gay. And Vivian from Paper Mario was supposed to be male who identified as a female, but all references to gender was taken out of the game for the North American release. Birdo was supposed to be male as well.
Maybe they just didn't feel the need to include this functionality in this game :/

Mario Kart has historically sold more than Super Mario 3D World.
MKWii - 35 million sales
Mario Galaxy 1 - almost 12 million sales (combined with Mario Galaxy 2, that would be 18 million copies)
So, Mario Kart is two to three times as big as Mario Galaxy. That's why it's more likely to "make a dent".

So I'm guessing Zelda U will come out Novemer 2015.
