That's because Nintendo still makes some money off of Fatal Frame. And there are those persistent fans that keep asking for it, so why not?

If Nintendo makes money off of Bayo 2, then I don't see why they wouldn't fund Bayo 3.

You can't buy the adapter yet, but you will be able to buy it seperately for 20 bucks when it does come out (or when the preorder becomes available)

The possibility of Nintendo losing the ability to make hardware is slim. Nintendo will settle with philips and pay X amount for each Wii/Wii U sold if it comes down to it. And Philips only won in the UK...no one knows the outcome in the other 3 cases.

The lawsuit won't even affect handheld systems like the 3DS. Pokemon is mainly on handheld systems.

Why would you discuss a handheld game when the lawsuit is about home console hardware (wii/wiiu)

The translation seems a bit iffy. I think they are saying that they see this game as more than just a spinoff.

Of course, it's the developers job to hype the game up.

They've said over and over again that Hyrule Warriors will not be like a Zelda game. Of course the gameplay looks more like DW than Zelda, Aonuma wanted it to play differently than a Zelda game.

Can someone explain what this means:

"The ’498 and ’650 patents were held to be invalid as originally granted, but Philips Electronics were permitted to make validating amendments during the course of the litigation"

Does that mean that the court was going to rule the patents as invalid, but Philips somehow changed their patents so that Nintendo violated them? I don't get how they can make "validating amendments" during the lawsuit.

Of course they're late with HD Remasters....the Wii U was their first HD console.

Nintendo has been doing other remakes for a long time though.

Still I'd rather them focus their resources on new stuff, and then maybe have outside developers or smaller teams take care of remakes and remasters. I think developers have more fun making new things anyway.

This is interesting...So the court ruled that Nintendo violated 2 out of the 3 patents Philips was suing for.

The first patent was filed in 2003 and then granted in 2011. Nintendo had no knowledge of the patent until 2011.

Nintendo started selling the Wii in 2006. So what should Nintendo have done? Stopped producing the Wii? Or pay Philips because they violated something that they didn't know they could violate!? Philips approached them for the licensing ...

I don't like this buying timed-exclusives kind of things. It basically hurts the sales of Destiny for Xbox One (well, it was gonna be lower anyway) but the biggest problem is that soon, Microsoft and Sony will both be throwing money at developers to give them timed exlusivity.

I just think it will be annoying. Either make it exlusive for the PS4 (which is the version to play anyway) or don't make any part of it exlusive at all.

Hey the Wii U got a Mass Effect port! Lol, but you're probably right.

The Wii U will most likely never get those games, unless they pay lots of money for them.

Maybe Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy, because those games fit more with the audience of the Wii U and many people have been asking for them. But still, it's unlikely.

I'm glad Nintendo is trying though with Bayonetta 2 and now Devils Third.

Devil's Third is not a Nintendo owned ip. It's Valhalla Game Studios ip.
It was originally meant for xbox 360 and ps3, but stuff happened (THQ bankruptcy) and this game was basically dead.
Nintendo is helping to publish it now.

Wii U is getting Splatoon, which is a new Nintendo ip. And I'm feeling pretty optomistic about it. Not all new IPs have to come from Miyamoto, it's time for new generations to think of new ideas. Splatoon's developm...

I don't know why you got so many disagrees. I think what you're saying is pretty reasonable.

Smash is bigger and more well known than ever before. SSBB introduced Smash to people who didn't even know about the first 2.

Zelda has a pretty dedicated fanbase as well. And it has attracted attention in gaming media and gamers.

However, it is unlikely that the Wii U will catch up to the PS4, if you follow the current trend.

4378d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I think it's a bit different now. The Wii introduced Zelda and Smash too many casual gamers. (SSBB was the best selling smash game, and Twilight Princess the best selling Zelda)

Now, let's say most of these casual gamers move on to mobile or whatnot. However, maybe some of these casuals are now big fans of those series. That would give Nintendo a new-ish audience that Nintendo didn't have before Gamecube or N64.

The Wii crowd, though made up of &q...

Man... A lot of people really don't bother reading the article....he's not talking about using the second screen or looking down at the gamepad. He's talking about using the gyroscope to make small motions to change the camera. In splatoon it works better, smoother and more accurately than the second analog stick. It worked really well in the Nintendo land metroid game as well.

4379d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It could've been gameplay with different camera angles. They would have access to the various camera angles to make it look more cinematic. Obviously you wouldn't be able to use those camera angles while playing. This is all just speculation though...

At the very least, it was in-engine and not pre-rendered.

Honestly, I don't think anything will ever reach those amazing PS2 numbers again!

5-8 years? That's a super long cycle. I'm guessing 2017 for Wii U successor. So 3 more years, for a 5 year cycle.

Dude, Reggie isn't that stupid, HE KNOWS that the Wii U is selling poorly, but what is he supposed to say? He probably thinks the Wii U will come in third but has to act like it still has a chance cuz THAT'S HIS JOB.

4384d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

What else is he supposed to say though? He can't just say "nope, we're gonna lose."

And STARFOX GUYS!! That wasn't even in the digital presentation but it's happening!!!!!!!

I dunno what you're talking about, but Nintendo is regarded as one of the most SECRETIVE companies in the industry and rarely lets anything leak out. They might purposely throw hints out (like the Twilight Princess poster that was in a room while some people were interviewing Miyamoto before we even knew about Twilight Princess) but nothing like a paper with a list on it.

Think about it, why would this piece of paper even exist nowadays? People use digital mediums - tabl...
