CHUCK NORRIS NEVER CRIES, EVEN FOR THE CURING OF CANCER!!! GO AND PLAY YOUR SISSY GAME WHILE IM DOING YOUR SISTER!!
(couldnt resist, what with the NORRIS Avatar haha)
you would think that, but thats not the case. Just because it used to be for 'complete nerds who avoid sunlight', that has completly changed now. I installed Ubuntu a good few years back, and i am quite experienced with computers (build my own and such). I got my brother to try it out (who isn't that computer literate), and at first he was complaining that it wasn't windows, but then he used it a little bit more and started to see how good it was.
It took less than 30sec from pow...
im pretty certain Lewis Hamilton plays GT aswell, and he is now Formula 1 world champion.... (i know he plays computer games, and his bro moans that he always beats him at racing games, so im guessing it was GT)
my gf doesnt like the fact i play games a lot, and she doesnt really like games, but if she comes round and sees me on my PS3 she always wants to play Tekken 5 haha and suprisingly she aint too bad at it.... if you call not being too bad her having 150% health, me having 70-100% and her mashing all the buttons haha
Pain used it aswell, and i think its really good on that. Come to think of it, so did Super Rub a Dub, and i thought that was really well done aswell (kinda similar to the Wiimote in many respects that)
i really hope Skate 2 is/gets finished, i was really looking forward to that, i loved the original
beating me to the replies haha. I was gonna mention the live cd aswell.
Ubuntu is probably the easiest one to pick up from a Windows migration, and you can even order a free CD from the developers (go to www.ubuntu.com and on the left you can ask for a cd to be sent to you, therefore not needing to download the CD yourself). A live cd is effectivly an OS on a disc, so you stick it in, boot from the CD, and it works almost exactly how it would if it was installed (minus the fact ...
either that or install Wine (it doesnt have as much compatability as Cedega, but its almost there, and its free :D)
http://www.winehq.org/
im a happy linux user for the best part of 3years now, and i avoid M$ products as much as possible (except when at work, stupid corporations thinking Vista is the best thing since sliced bread...), but Wine helped my move from Windows to Linux that little bit easier...especially as...
agreed, Ubuntu is the way to go!! Its by far the best operating system i have used, im just waiting for businesses to realise how rubbish everything M$ makes really is, and then change to Linux/Mac :D that would be the beginning of a perfect world haha
R.I.P, i love pokemon (kinda said being 20 haha) and i gotta say meowth was one of my favourite characters on it
Its a form of marketing jargon. The sentence:
"Microsoft said Tuesday that only a very small amount of users have experienced the problem."
Should read:
"Microsoft said Tuesday that a very large amount of users (around the 5-10% mark at least) have experienced the problem, which was rapidly followed by RRoD."
im a Ps3 owner, and from all the games that i have seen/played on the 360 i can quite happily say i wouldnt want a single one. Some of the games are ok, but they are the multi-platform ones (CoD, Fifa etc), all the exclusives dont interest me at all and have MUCH better equivilants on the Ps3 (Gran Turismo > Forza, MGS4 > Pretty much everything haha).
Glad i stayed loyal to be honest :)
now, i know im a bit of a hardcore Sony fanboy, but all those games were rubbish or insanely over-hyped from a general gamers perspective. I have 360 owning mates who said they wouldnt touch gears or halo, and that all of them were way over-hyped.
I werent paying much attention to the hype (never gonna own an M$ made product, i love my linux and Playstation thanks very much :D) but if even 360 owners think this list is rubbish, that surely aint good for M$....
i'd lo...
i love this part:
"but we've also managed to broaden the market to include people who have never played video games before," Bowman told Reuters in a phone interview.
ummmm no u didnt, Nintendo did that this gen, and Sony did that last gen. Seems like ur lieing again, but what do we expect from M$ employees......
what happened to cookiegaki??? i didnt check this site for 3days and now he is gone haha
People who want a family portrait will get one of these modern contraptions called a 'digital camera', or maybe go to this magical place called a 'photography studio' and get this done. Looks much better as the people are real....
The statue idea is kinda cool (and this coming from an absolute M$ hater) but the rest sounds completely pointless... come to think of it, even the statue is kinda pointless...
An M$ cheque did help them say that, as did 'their decision' to port FF13 to the 360 (i say there decision, but the phrase 'money talks' comes to mind...)
Funny thing is though, the PS3 is still the best performing hardcore console in Europe (despite what M$ keep claiming), and Europe is part of the west.........coulda focused on that a bit more.... but then again, Sony didnt throw huge amounts of money at them to make s**t games (the couple of RPG's that Square released on the 3...
M$ NOT wanting to make money off of every possible little thing??? Has hell just frozen over? Is Satan on ski's? Is my very existence even reality?? So many questions that need answering now!!
wouldnt suprise me if they made a clone. Expect an anouncement for "Microsoft Apartment" or "Microsoft House" any day now...
or people could just not pay for either Vista or 7 and get a brilliant, free, more stable, infintly more secure OS called Linux Ubuntu....
but i cant see joe public realising that computers can have things on there other than windows anytime soon....
