When i started using Linux about 4yrs back i installed MS Office 2003 on it coz i didnt think OpenOffice was that good, and i kinda spiralled by installing most of the Windows programs i had onto Wine. Then i realised i effectivly had Windows in a more secure suit, so deleted the lot and just used Linux programs instead. M$ wouldnt ditch it, they aint clever enough to sort out problems or get rid of faulty problems, look at Vista, Office 2007, and the xbox 360. 360 has more hardware failures than any other product on the market, Vista had more compatibility issues than any other operating system, and Office 2007 alienated all its long-term users. Will they solve any of these problems? Not likely, the only slight change they have made is make Vista a little bit more compatible, and slightly solve the hardware ...

good point, the older ones use less, but thats because the hardware wasnt that high then.
Although, it only appears to be Windows that thinks everyone should have ridiculous PC specs to 'have the privilege' of running windows...funny how a version of Linux (Called DSL or Damn Small Linux) runs on a computer with 50mb of RAM and works insanely quick. I use Linux Ubuntu, and that only needs 256mb of RAM, and it works dam quick and uses hardly any of it...

i doubt the console war will 'be a long one' as the console wars only go on for about 5yrs before a new console, and the consoles themselves last about 10yrs at the most, so its just gonna repeat itself.

ive seen the PSP 'whole world in your hands' advert about 20times now haha, but have yet to see any other TV ads for Sony. I have seen the huge motorstorm posters/newspaper ads though, and 1 for LBP on the day it came out... yet loads of motorstorm coverage. I thought they wanted LBP to do well....im not fussed, i have the game and love it but i want more people to get it :)
