The problem with English voice acting is their method (not all but most).
In Japan, all the voice actors get together and do their dialogue in the same space. That's why it sounds so natural.
In America they bring in the actors one by one in an isolation booth and have them read all their lines and then cut and paste them with the other actors lines to create the dialogue. This is why it always sounds disconnected and/or over acting occurs. And also they make it ...
