You can buy stand alones that do a better job for cheaper... but here again why would anybody buy an HD DVD player at this point unless...
Because they are primarily a first person shooter brand. To Microsoft's credit, they've tried to get out of that label by releasing a variety of games but their core consumer wants nothing else and let's face it, FPS don't translate well on a portable unit.
