Well, in XCOM you play with a JRPG feel... You have your base and you have combat missions.
In Fallout/Wasteland, combat is integrated in the open world. You can fight nearly everywhere. Don't like that guy on the bar? Hit him. Good luck with most of the town getting on you though.
Plus you have deep choices and explorations.
The combat itself, though, is reasonably similar. Tactical and turn-based. One major difference is that XCOM uses the terra...
Day one!
If a project gets too expensive, companies just shut it down. And what's better for a project budget to become astronomic than an insolvent studio?
That's why.
It would only happen if this kind of dev cared about PC ports.
Basically, for them, graphics > split screen.
Sad.
People should be happy that its current build, which they thought was fit for a test, is nearly unplayable?
Take note of what? It is a BETA.
Are you really acting like they would postpone a scheduled release date due to the same issues?
They only delayed it because it is only a beta.
Are you implying that an even lower frame rate does would not impact the experience of playing RDR through BC?
smh
The biggest fanboys of the internet would write an article about a very heavy PC issue?
Yeah, right...
Thanks for helping us and the world! Every click not given makes a stray puppy get a family.
About the games, omfg, think about it for a while. 2015 is shaping up as one of the best year in a long time.
Dying Light, Bloodborne, MK, The Witcher, Batman AK, The Order, Ori, Halo, Tomb Raider, Uncharted remaster, Mad Max, Just Cause, Fallout, Star Wars, NFS, MGS, Persona, FF, RB/GH, Until Dawn...
You put Fallout, Bloodborne, Batman, MGS and The W...
More like they missed 5 great Playstation games each of its last years.
If the severe performance issues on X1's BC software aren't fixed, it won't matter at all if they add RDR or don't.
The frame rate was already on the edge in the normal game. Making it worse will make the experience much less enjoyable.
If it is cross gen, it is designed to be able to run on old consoles. Shocker? It should be pretty easy to see that every cross gen game is held back.
About what a new feature could be, they would need to have guts to it. Bigger player count, persistent MP mechanics, random maps etc. There's a lot of possibilities.
But they don't have the guts, the need nor the will to do it. It will be a stale series until it is definitely thrown at a lower tier, doz...
First of all: I'm primarily a PS4 player. I just use other platforms for games unavailable on my preferred platform.
That said, congrats for the objectivity on your comment. You do have some well based opinions (best line up for this next semester is HEAVILY subjective) and analysis ("true gamers" won't wait a full year for the game).
But, what I really wanted to point is that you shouldn't use the expression "true gamers". See...
One of the best roguelites out there, no doubt.
The random mechanics are a blessing and the whole game design simply makes every action count and be tied to the progression and success.
Don't be fooled by the slow start. Probably the best indie I have played in years.

PS: Seriously, buy it.
I hope this never comes to my preferred platform (I own a X1 too, but prefer the PS4). It may be a good option and open a whole dam of possibilities, but will mostly ruin playing MP FPS games if you do it with a controller against mouse+KB users.
And I seriously doubt devs will take the time to make separate lobbies.
Devine, yes, they are tech wizards of the top tier.
@Dante
You know what they say about Greatness, right? ^^
Are you still hoping for a 2015 release?!
Damn, this is horrible.
Give up, dude, seriously, try something else, you're wasting your time.
