Gonna try this one NOW! =P

I don't even raid on CoC anymore. I'm just there to admin the clan and attack on wars. Now, these wars are too awesome to me to say goodbye. =)

1. They are meant to do money. Every game is. But not every game will destroy its core design to fit this objective.
Path of Exile and TF2 comes to mind.
(I still hate F2P overall too)

2. There is matchmaking for this.
You probably didn't play Clash of Clans and are making a generalization, so let me explain why CoC is different that the usual cash grab and doesnt screw the balance at all with money:
a) the only relevant aspect of money on ...

Two years filled with fun and challenges with Clash of Clans here. Never spent a single dime, never EVER felt the need to do so.

It is by far the most gamer-friendly F2P game I've played on mobile and it is very very far from being a cash grab. In fact, imo the game is only fun if you don't pay for it.

There are some very rare exceptions on F2P and CoC is one of them.

Both are making empty assumptions.

Saying they didn't use is as childish as saying they did use.
There are no evidences at all that they used it, but you can't say for sure.

I'm thankful for a new horizon.

This site isn't here to make anyone feel good. It is here to make money.

And our clicks (yup, yours too) is what make us and the staff sure that they won't blacklist Kotaku.

Why would N4G avoid the hits? In the end, the users collectively choose to put Kotaku in the top on every flamebait article they do, by clicking and cursing and yelling and fanboying etc.

It would be good, yeah, but it won't happen because WE give N4G MONEY fo...

Lame and terrible.

They could take one step further to screw up that lame site for good: Blacklist forever EVERY "journalist" that works with them from now on. :D

There are a few of ridiculous clickbaity websites, specially posting here on N4G (Rashid's and his puppils) and everyone knows who they are. I'm glad they finally started paying the toll.

//Criticizes Kotaku for posting rumors/leaks.
//Posts rumors/leaks.

On topic, the biggest problem is the holier than thou attitude everyone publicly have everywhere.

"We serve our readers, not game companies, and will always do so to the best of our ability, no matter who in the gaming world is or isn’t angry with us at the moment."

No, Kotaku. You serve your investors and clickbaiting. You actually troll bait your readers ...

^ Not to mention how much the mythology changed over the centuries, even from poly to monotheism (to poly back again).

"Digital copies of games on consoles needs to get better in terms of deals and even pricing (...)"

It is ok to hope for it, but the mere headline of this projection already shows that "we" collectively are clearly saying that they don't need to make it better, we will pay whatever they want however they want.

Thanks for the answer. Did you notice any difference in performance?

3785d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

F2P games are designed to force players into micro transactions. That's why.

3785d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

How's the performance, please?

3785d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's the problem with setting expectations absurdly high.

I expected a Fallout 3 new campaign and this is kind of what I've got, so I'm very satisfied.

The game could have been a thousand times better, obviously, but still a great and immersive game if you pass the endless design and technical issues.

Next stop: Just Cause 3. :P

The reason is because he successfully fooled everyone on their marketing campaign (blatantly lying about the performance). Sales is what matters, nothing more, nothing less. And he is one of the heads of the most hyped marketing campaign of the year.

He probably already has his info that the game can't and won't be fixed (seriously, they never gave half a crap about it), so the denial seems to be a pretty good strategy considering their situation.

PR talk.

Digital Foundry mentions that 1.01 doesn't solve s***.

Judging by how FO3 ran on PS3, I'm not expecting big improvements. Even taking performance in a high regards, I'll still buy it, because it is one of the few games that performance doesn't f up.
