PS: Keep the downvotes coming. Show you don't mind about microtransactions, as long as it is not Ubisoft or EA.
^ Yet their MP is filled with pay to win schemes (perks and weapons on TLOU, everything on GTA 5).
Naughty Dog and Rockstar have free passes to do whatever they want.
So yes, it will obviously have tons of microtransactions.
They always do it. They lie about the release date to build hype and then postpone it. Rinse and repeat. Nothing new.
Don't be surprised if this is still not the real date.
When it comes to exclusives, other companies (MS, Ouya, Nintendo) are simply irrelevant to the graphics tech subject, excluding Forza, which, come on, is way more limited in terms of interaction, assets and animations.
So, yeah, there's no one else to talk about.
^ really? These are some of the most creative and inspired games in the whole industry, both today and back "in the good times". Take out these hate and nostalgia goggles and you'll be able to enjoy many more games.
ZeroCarnage, that would be PayALotToWin.
So you believe EA are the "evil illuminatis" and DICE are the "righteous trapped knights"?
FFS...
It is not about respect, it is about knowing this is a business and they are acting accordingly. All the image they are passing about this or that company is carefully built by dozens of specialists.
Yet "the community" thinks DICE, who designed and balanced the microtransactions, are victims on this.
Good cop, bad cop.
And the idiots fall like children.
"I’m not calming down. This is just like Activision did with Destiny 2. Here the freaking thing, EA isn’t allow Dice to talk with their fans"
As if Dice was innocent. FFS, the reason they don't let the other guilty company speak is to fool "Dice are saints" people like you.
Good cop, bad cop.
And you fall for it like a child.
@cleft5
Loot boxes aren't inherently bad if we are talking about free to play games. These games need it.
In other cases, when it is attached to the gameplay itself (not just cosmetics, which are already a shame in a full price title), it needs to have the progression slowed to make sales.
Design and monetization always walk together, from the very beginning of the project. And this is why loot boxes intentionally destroy the progress flow.
@GamesMaster1982
Lootboxes are confirmed.
Do you think they will just not implement the biggest cash grab in modern gaming? And if they implement, do you think the pachinko company will just make it in a very consumer friendly way?
It really confuses me how some people can't see some very obvious schemes happening.
Yeah yeah, Konami will put loot boxes into the game and won't force players in this direction. Sure. lol
Do you need to wait and see that it will be pay to win? Just because it is cool to "respect" Konami and say that you are against the herd? Even when it is obvious that they will screw their consumers?
Seriously. The guys live out of pachinko money. What do you think they will do with the progression in this game?
Jesus...
Have you seen the loot boxes?
Yeah, but still there is the combination of Konami + loot boxes.
This alone indicates that the progression and item management will be awful or worse.
The security needed it. Too many people were running and jumping over the corridor.
This is veeery near the impossible zone, yes.
That's why he probably bought many of the assets and code he is using on the project.
Still VERY impressive.
Looked at the thumbnail, went into www.twitch.tv/directory/game/I RL.
Left very disappointed.
@rainslacker, yes, for the final product there is no difference if it the result is the same. What worries me (considering I care about the project, for the argument's sake) is that the ability he has shown is not about developing a game, creating assets, coming with great gameplay, story, creative mechanics etc. No, it is literally just shoving assets together. That's his ability. He is great in this, no doubt, but it is far from enough, imo.
Can the game still be ...
GTA 5 has a free to play progression model in a 60 bucks title. That's why they tried so hard (and succeeded on) calling the MP mode "GTA Online" as it was a standalone game.
