Well the reviewer said it all with , " Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game."
I agree and runs burttery smooth. PS3 version...not so much and there's that pesky "mandatory" install.
Well if this game is truly pushing the limit of the ps3 then it will have dropped frames, and lots of tearing.
Well there ya have it. Another article supporting what we've been saying for a while now. Xbox version superior to ps3 inferior version. No surprises here. NEXT.
PC version will obiviously be the best but 360 will come close and leave the others in the dust, as is usual. Better frame rates, better anti-aliasing, better shadows, better transparancies, better ssao (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion), less tearing, and no "Mandatory" installs. Man this machine just keeps getting better and better and better.
Well here's just another article backing up what i've been saying for weeks now. "Crysis 2, at least on 360 anyway, is the best looking and most technically advanced piece of software on the market. FACT. Great job Crytek. Way to show developers how it's done. Whoop.
Lets's just wait for the head to head.
Sony definately needs the next gen to come quickly. I mean antiquated RAM architecture, inferior GPU, convoluted CPU, bandwidth bottlenecks. These things have all contributed to the frame rate, tearing, fill rates, lighting, shadowing, alpha, "mandatory" installs, and ssao problems we've seen on the system since it's release. Next gen for Sony can't come soon enough.
I'm really hyped about this game. It looks phenominal. EASILY the BEST we've seen on console to date. Vastly Superior to anything currently on the market or that's been previewed up to this point. Epic is just that good at. Wow. This thing is gonna rock. Oh and to borrow from the PS3 fanboy crowd. It's EXCLUSIVE to 360.
PC definately wins no doubt about it but the 360 is vastly "superior" to the ps3 version.
To be immediately followed by, "Crytek is stupid, crytek can't optimize, crytek is lazy, exclusives, exclusives, blah, blah, blah. After five years of the same ol' same ol' excuses from the ps3 fanboys it's starting to just sound like background noise.
I stopped reading at the "here's a quote from Naughty Dog". So here we have an article about which system is reaching it's limits and we're getting quotes from Sony's #1 in house, Sony funded, Sony owned, developer????? Uhh hello?
All I have to say is that historically ps3 is already suffering from stuttering frame rates, reduced resolutions, dialed back special effects, torn frames, and exceeding long delays and development times followed by patch after pa...
Well here's a surprise right? I mean a game actually better superior on 360? Say it ain't so.
OH and I just love this, "5 years in and some developers still trying to program the ps3 like a pc...the mind boggles."
A person connected to reality would have written,
" 5 years in and ps3fanboys still trying to convence themselves that the world's best game developers don't know how to develop for ps3...the mind boggles....
ROFL. That's just too funny. How does this stuff get approved? LOL.
The title alone is silly enough.
The picture on this article posting says it all. I mean, look at this guy he's thinking, "This is the best we could come up with? We're screwed."
Interactive qucktime movies? That's what defines the PS3? Well it is great at playing movies, I can't argue that. Shoot the thing can even get on the internet, got to give it credit there too. Games? Unless they're developed by 1st party, have 5 year development cycles and backed by millions and millions of Sony's money it's just not that good.Other wise you get poor frame rates, torn frames, 5 gig "mandatory" installs, dialed back ambient occlusion(if any at all...
Hmmm an article about Tryarch and the ps3 fanboys start talking about SOCOM. Typical child like behavior.
Now back to the actual article. Tryarch has it's work cut out for it. With the likes of BF3,Crysis 2 and Bullet Storm the competition is stiff. I, for one, have had many hours of enjoyment from Black Ops but felt the graphics were a little dated, especially after playing a few hours of the Crysis 2 demo. Here's to hoping they have the technical know how in updating their ...
@AlphaMale
Well if Crysis 2 was just another hand me down port you MIGHT have a valid argument. However this quote, "“We have two really strong internal teams on the programming side working on 360 and PS3 all the time, and they’re always in competition with each other,” said Camarillo." completely discredits that argument. Low res textures, dialed back shadows, dialed back ambient occlusion, dialed back anti-aliasing, poor frame rate. Sound familiar? Crytek is one of the w...
Say it ain't so Batman! Holy "Mandatory" installs Batman. That's a big one. Luckily we can play it with better frame rate and superior anti aliasing and high res shadows on our 360 that doesn't even have a hard drive. Crytek is pushing the boundaries and I guess we can't realistically expect other consoles to run it as effortlessly as 360 (no install required).
LOL. One of the greatest developers OF ALL TIME has twice said that 360 was superior to ps3. Of course I guess the ps3 fanboys will try and gang up on him and take away his "bubbles" lol. Oh and we'll probably hear some fanboy say something about how Carmack doesn't know how to program games or he doesn't know what he's talking about, etc. All I have to say is I.D.
Nuff said. PS3 dissed..again...sweet
Wow PS3 version has Waaaaaaay more jaggies. But it's still better than Killzone3.
360 superior release, no "mandatory" install required, is much more crisp and appears to be running at a higher resolution.. PS3 version is no slouch but 360 version is clearly superior this time around probably due to superior unified shader tech of the 360 GPU and it's huge amounts of available bandwith.
