NOPE. Like most ps3 Exclusives this one is more hype and fanboy promotion than anything else.
Wow. This game easily crushes ANYthing we've seen on console to date. Even the console redition, well 360 version anyway, is better than ANYthing we've seen so far. Too bad some consoles can't keep up with Cryengine3's tech. But this game rocks on 360 and PC.

I agree with you 100%. If absolute parity could be achieved it would be. Now as engines push the consoles even harder we're going to see more of this. PS3's RSX pixel fillrate is a major problem. I don't care how powerful the cell is the rsx has to FILL the screen with PIXELS. Hurry up and wait. It's just a very well documented bottle-neck in the hardware. FACT

Again your wisdom shines through. 360 has always led in this category. Ps3 exclusives always have parred back transparencies, parred back alpha blending, parred back shadows, parred back hdr lighing, an missing ambient occlusion. FACT. Now you can disagree all you like but it's still a FACT. I have a ps3 and a 360. Maybe the new pyre engine 3.0 will help with these problems but as of right now it's still fact. You're absolutely right. I mean look at crysis2, gears, RDR, Reach, mafia and many many others. This will be a piece of cake for 360. i can't wait for the ps3 fanboys to see the head to heads that come out on this game. I'm going to cut and paste from this thread and make them eat their words when 360 Wins yet again , and again , and again. Yeah, Gears would be great on PS3, if you consider 10 fps, every other frame torn, no anti-aliasing, no screen space ambient occlusion, low rez shadows, toned down normal maps, and a 5 gig "mandatory" install as being great. Hey I just described about 75% of games available on ps3. Oh well. Yeah It would be great!!
Well I guess the other 29% got tired of playing an interactive quick time movie.
This engine will make the "superior" UE3 engined games in development for 360 even better. PS3 already struggles with the advanced demands of the cutting edge UE3 engine so I don't expect it to go well with the Sony camp. Maybe this will motivate them to make a better console next time.
"Crytek said that Crysis 2 “Taps Every Last Ounce Of Console Power” That would explain why 360 runs Crysis2 so much better than PS3. 360's superior architecture gives it the clear advantage that we've seen over and over since it's release. I'm just glad that Crytek didn't dumb down the 360 version because of ps3's problems of trying to keep up the frame rates. Go Crytek.
And cryengine runs great on Xbox. If only the ps3 could keep up. :-(
Oh well maybe next time playstation will get more ram, and better gpu.
