I would say Zelda or Mario if we are talking greatest video game experience in my opinion. if were talking about the game that best relates to Citizen Kane in terms of cinematic scope and innovation to look and design its probably got to be Mario 64 or Ocarina. When they were both made they represented new techniques and design/control ideas.

Considering what Wii 3rd parties have to contend with, in terms of marketing and hype share in most game media, they realistically have to do this. Its the only way they can actually generate enough interest.

@Ju, Of course its possible. Nintendo said they wanted to wait because in a few years (like now) the price of HD internals would be acceptable for most consumers.
The question really comes down to whether they think competing again in the market they created, and then lost to Sony 2 generations straight, is ultimately worth their effort. I think they do see the value in it and Other M proves they are still interested in it, its a question of timing though.
