Its not true, its actually ridiculous.
The technology alone prices it at 300$ at a bare minimum (and thats before we even get to a discussion of 3D screens, which Sony have already refuted as "not accurate enough").
A few things will happen next year.
1 - 3DS will eventually get ALL (or most) of the 3rd party support
2 - 3DS will launch at 250$
3 - 3DS will bundle OR drop its price to 200$ by Christmas (or by the PSP2 release date)
4 - Even if the PSP2 launches at 250$ (it won't considering the tech involved, and the 3D screen is irrelivent to the price bcoz of the hardware in it) Nintendo will do something like, for example bundle ...
Despite Sony already doing all the work for you, and failing, you had to try a handheld - download exclusive (sort of) console for yourselves didn't you?

Honestly, and coming from a Wii lover, Capcom can and will ignore the Wii, especially if MH3 sales weren't as expected (they pretty much said "slower growth than expected in MH3 Wii sales" in the last fin. statement), BUT theres no way in hell that they'll ignore the 3DS.
