2017 on PS4 has a chance of finally eclipsing what was considered the best line-up in history (for the PS2)

I personally think this year on PS4 will become the new standard for "the legendary line-up".

Robotic dinosaurs in a futuristic post apocalyptic tribal setting doesn't do it? This concept should have happened years ago in my opinion.

My guess would be some sort of AI is producing them trying to orchestrate a redo of the beginning (of life on this planet) with machines or something like that.
Days Gone is definitely 2018 and Spider-Man is probably late 2017 or early 2018, but isn't locked down yet.
It most likely is.
Whipped up an hour and a half after this was posted.
"#HappyNewYear, everyone! 2017 is going to be a big one for PS gamers. Here's just a -->few<-- of the #PS4 console exclusives we have coming."

Detroit, Dreams and Matterfall being scheduled for 2017 is so good.

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!
Update: Dreams and Detroit are not confirmed for 2017 from this trailer.

Amazing. Nice to know Detroit and Dreams are coming in 2017 too.
"Worlds Best Selling Console" is a nice touch.
Happy New Year!!!
How is this still up?
The PS4 one from the same site was failed in a few hours by a moderator after coming out of pending.

Expect a lot of this for this upcoming year. The other 2 consoles don't have much solid information about anything to go on.
Microsoft: Has vague 2017 release dates on all of their games except for Halo Wars 2 and a system with little to no information about it.
Nintendo: Has Zelda, the Switch release and that's about it. Again, not having much information about upcoming software. This could change a bit, but realistically how much?
Any other answer would be lying. PlayStation did most relevant things better this year, not just this holiday.
It doesn't really matter what metric either. Retail software, diversity, sales, indie support, etc.
PlayStation is smart to NOT release too many of their own titles around the weeks of games like Destiny, Call Of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed or any other big name AAA titles with over the top marketing budgets.
@gaming cousin
Lol. Thanks.
I just found out this little trick.
Use Google and put in these words exactly.
"playstation 4 most played games"
"xbox one most played games"
It even brings up a special little tab for them, I'm not sure how accurate it is or where it's pulling the info from, but interesting regardless. It also works for PC games and makes sense in the ordering there.
I like the politically correct answers. But in reality, PS4 won.
It sold the most everywhere, had the the highest rated games, most diverse games and most games available to new users. It also had the marketing contract of the highest selling game of the year, a VR headset, a redesign and a hardware upgrade.
The contrasting tone of the "Xbox 2016" article posted by this site (through OXM, like this is through OPM) is actually quite hilarious.

This one sounds like he's just relaxed about it and the other one (at parts) sounds like a salesman trying to sell you something. Lol.
Dreams and Matterfall (from Housemarque) got confirmed for 2017 too.
