Yeah, I didn't expect this.
This doesn't seem "more committed" than they've ever been though.
The extra power was applied to design, in my opinion. Both QB and U4 would run at 2 fps attempting to do what their doing on last gen hardware.
Scale and Effects, which are huge. Uncharted 4 has so much going on in every scene, every minute, this is not possible on last hardware. Quantum Break, the amount of effects used to create the time warping stuff, is again not possible on last gen hardware.
Both of the examples I mentioned is what drives the experience of those games.
That's completely untrue. Look at either Quantum Break or Uncharted 4, the design choices both of the games achieve was not possible last generation. Dreams would be another that comes to mind.
Who is this guy talking about my reading comprehension? Calling me a girls name and Overlord, when my username is Overload.

From the articles.
"Windows gaming project manager Peter Orullian said shipping games simultaneously will become the norm for Microsoft.
"We'll get to the point where that's the intent for every title," he said."

They said they have some news to share this week.
Agree. With how important Halo 2 was to bringing about the Xbox 360 you would think Microsoft and it's fans would see the value of a big exclusive IP. Halo 2 did ultimately have a Windows release, but it was 3 years after the Xbox release.

Last I checked within a corporation as big as Microsoft, no one man does.
Agreed. Damage control IS the Phil Spencer Effect.
VGChartz ranking means nothing. Amazon on the other hand usually means nothing with software sales, but that's ranked really low and definitely is an indication of hype for the title.
I do hope it does well for Remedy, they have always been a great studio.
Not really, Phil Spencer says alot of things that don't happen.
Plus, 2 other Microsoft employees have said the opposite, Aaron Greenburg and Peter Orullian.

That cover for Time magazine is epic.
Yes. Tomb Raider had no business launching the same day as Fallout 4, Quantum Break has a much better window.
The budget for this game would be much higher than Until Dawn.
Being a AAA single player only action adventure game in this day and age is definitely risky, not to mention the TV production on top of that.
You can't have users without hardware....
@roadkillers
No Man's Sky has a retail release.
Great point.
This just went 0-100.
