Yeah all he cares about is what is good for Microsoft. That much is obvious.

Destiny is multiplatform.

Lol there goes the "It's not in Microsoft's best interest to make CoD exclusive" retort.

I've been saying all along that MS is playing the long game. They are doing everything short of promising permanent multiplat release to make the deal go through because they know once they have ownership, that's that, game over, they can do whatever they want. They are only doing forever deals with cloud platforms that will eventually go the way of Stadia. <...

I will never understand Kojima haters. Yeah he doesn't code the game but he's providing the overall gameplay direction and story. Every MGS game he released introduced something innovative in the stealth department. That won't be the case in any future MGS entry.

Huh? Phil Spencer has been very public about putting games on all platforms and how he isn't about keeping games/content off of other platforms.

Microsoft has always done these type of deals. They have never stood still on it.

1173d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Uh, MadLad...

You get on Sony the most for doing these type of deals and not "having them on payroll" and use Sony doing these type of deals to justify the Activision purchase. Well Microsoft is doing the exact thing you bitch at Sony for and this isn't something that happened years ago but is happening now. And now you're playing the whole "both companies just care about your money" and "stop being a fanboy hanging on to every word a compan...

Um no... Activision's games are already available on Xbox. Microsoft acquiring them adds nothing to their library.

This developer is is saying that Microsoft getting Activision will force Sony to up their game which according to you is buying up publishers... Is that what we want? Microsoft and Sony taking turns "upping" their game by playing who can acquire the most publishers?

"The acquisition will not all of a sudden make Xbox the dominant platform. It's far more likely that it may help to create a more level playing field between Xbox and PlayStation which, at this point in time, is sorely needed."

Why is it that the only way for Microsoft to "create a more level playing field" is for them to continue to acquire publishers?

"PlayStation needs better competition, to force the platform to up its gam...

@gangsta_red

"Sony has not expressed interest in any other game from Activision, (which I find strange) so why should MS continue to release those games for PS?"

If they own Activision they shouldn't release it on PS unless they are going full 3rd party. Hence why Sony and others want the acquisition stopped so that all games remain where they are. Sony is using CoD as a talking point to get the acquisition stopped because it's a huge IP...

Obviously now that own them Microsoft can do whatever they want with their titles and should make it exclusive because that's in their best interest and they have no obligation to make them multiplat.

The point is that the same will happen once they acquire Activision. They have no obligation to continue release Activision games on any platform once they own them. Microsoft is taking games away.

I remember when people called playstation indiestation... Tencent isn't going to make their games exclusive to anyone platform that's why.

I'm not confused, but you definitely are because you aren't understanding what I'm saying.

I was talking about Sony complaining. How can Sony (not you) complain about the acquisition and then turn around and sign a deal that assumes the acquisition that Sony is fighting against will go through? It's a contradiction and will hurt Sony on their quest to stop the deal. That's why I replied "huh?" to your first comment.

I hope I ...

I'm not saying that Microsoft should. I'm not being serious when I say that. I'm just poking at those that say that Microsoft should bring their games to all platforms in response to all the deals that MS is making. Obviously they shouldn't bring their games to Playstation if they still see them as competition.

1178d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm not being serious, if that wasn't obvious.

"Do you expect Sony to bring its games over?"

-No

"Plus doesn't MS need exclusives?"

-Tell that those saying "bring games to all platforms!" whenever MS makes another deal with a no name streaming company.

"Or are you just gonna use the classic imaginary goal post of "they need to build them from the g...

The fact that I even have to explain this shows how silly some are on here. How the hell can one complain about an acquisition and then go around and make a deal with assumption that the deal goes through... That would be more ammo for Microsoft to "say see we even have a deal in place to keep cod with the very people who oppose this deal and say it's anticompetitive." Come on now...

If Sony never opposed the acquisition none of these deals would have happened.

And if it's truly about more games to more customers then why not bring all your games to Playstation as well?
