I don't about you, but the Vita is the handheld I've been waiting for. It's a revolution in my eyes. I expect console quality games on the Vita and if that isn't a revolution then I don't know what is.

Logic you are missing the point of Pampoovey's post. His point was that gamers have REASONS for hating on some of the things you mentioned that gamers hate on. You make it seems like it's wrong for gamers to express their dislike for something when you have no problem complaining about how expensive the Vita is.

I expect the vita to do very well despite numerous of articles stating that gaming on a smartphone/tablet is more ideal because frankly, if you think gaming on a smartphone is better than gaming on a Vita then the Vita is for you in the first place.

Yeah, I'm thinking the Vita will do well once it hits store shelves. Once people see one of their co-workers or friends with it and see what it can do, sales will pick up. I don't really get why people think that things have to fly out the shelves in order for it to be a success... It's like everything that happens after the first week doesn't matter...
The only gamers that seriously care about sales are those that want to use it to brag or ridicule a game/console.
Vita sales will eventually pick up. I know people that have never bought a handheld in their life and plan getting the vita. It might not be day one, but they do plan on eventually getting.

I don't see your point. The Wii out sold the 360 and Microsoft is still doing well.
Games are a form of art. It'll eventually be seen as such, but since gaming is relatively new in a history sense non-gamers won't see it as so.
Films use to be be the same way. Films were ridiculed back in it's early days, but is now recognized as a form of art.
I say, give it time and if games with deep story and narrative become top sellers we'll slowly see the public recognizing gaming as more than just mindless fun.
