Why should I play a game that I know is bad?
I don't want to give SE sales. FF13-2 is obviously a bad game. FF13-2 never had the chance to be good because it's a sequel to a bad game. And these reviews are proving just that. Yeah I know that an 8 is a good score technically, but most games get 8s and 7s nowadays. If a game gets a 6 it's usually because it has bugs or it's just plain horrible. Versus 13 just looks like it'll be a good FF game. Once I saw the short gameplay for that game I was sold. I will not doubt it until I have a reason to.
Final Fantasy is not an overrated franchise or else it wouldn't be in it's 13th iteration. Final Fantasy 13 is just an overrated game.
What is wrong with real time combat?
I'm hoping that VS13 finally sets the standard of how a FF game this generation play like and that is Turn Based Combat happening Real Time. FF12 had something like that which SE should have improved in FF13 instead taking 30 steps back with the battle system 13 has now.

I really hope SE sees that nobody likes the whole 13 saga so that they cancel 13-3, release VS13, get to work on Kingdom Hearts 3, and carry on from there(FF15 maybe).

FF7 is one of THE best FF games ever and one of THE best RPGs ever. There is no arguing this. 13 on the other hand is trash.

Same could be said for 13, yet you love it. Only difference between 13 and 12 is that 13 is a linear piece of turd while 12 is an example of how open Final Fantasy games should be.
12 is better than 13 no doubt about that. If you ignore the auto battle of 12 (which you didn't have to use) it's a solid FF game while 13 has so much going wrong for it that it's the worst Final Fantasy game in existence.
