U stood next to a 720 screen next to a 1080 screen recently? I doubt it. The difference is nion unnoticeable from one another if u are anymore than 1.5 metres away. The eye cant pick up the difference at that distance. Goes to show how petty this whole argument has become, people arguing over things where no-one can honestly tell the difference.
I have to wonder though if we put xb1 cod next to ps4 cod and didn't tell which is which and see who thinks they look the same ...
Actually infinity ward recently said they had to downgrade the resolution of ghosts from native 1080p to 1080 upscaled due to the inconsistent frame rate. It came straight from the horses mouth.
I dnt think this is true at all. We all saw the showing at e3 and that small mission alone had to be cut shorter during the presentation due to it being too long, so i dunno how they came up with this.

My point is that regardless whether the reviewers did or didn't see it in 1080 ot not. Fact remains that the retail version certainly will not be.
Yhh ut cud be lazy developers expecting an easy ride. But dnt try to convince anyone that it runs on native 1080p 60fps, its been admitted by the cod developers saying it isn't for either platform after they said it was. 😎 Deal with it.

I dnt like cod or bf4. Im just saying people who are fans of fps will be playing them, and if killzone 2 was anything to go by, the sequal wont kill either of them.
And knack? When i say kiddy, i mean that's its target audience. Older people will play it but not enough to consider it an overwhelming success.
But back to my main point, launch wise, xb1 simply has the better games. Case closed.

Or maybe when they found out that the frame rate was awful on ps4 at native 1080p they decided to downgrade the resolution on ps4 so the frame rate can be smooth and not grinding to a halt ay every cut scene.
I wonder how many people who slammed xb1 for this will try to downplay the fact ps4 done the same thing. So much for that overblown story of ps4 cod being superior compared to xb1. I always claimed they both looked the same, now ive been proven right.
Come on, lets face it xb1 got more awards for its games than anyone in history. And lets face it knack is designed for young kids, and as good as killzone is 8/10 by many reviewers, its a game that many fps fans are either playing cod or battlefield 4. But u Neva knw Sony might announce a cool exclusive or two.
Exactly. U noticed that most xb1 games (especially exclusives) look better than anything else graphically speaking, on any other gaming platform, happened last gen. Xb360 was underpowered compared to ps3, yet 99/100 xb360 looked the better version. Same this time around.
Oh and frame rate i forgot to mention that.
For me resolution is 5th on importance of visuals.
1. Texturing
2. Shading
3.lighting
4. The graphics engine.
If u had the perfect resolution but all of the above were rubbish everyone would have a hissy fit.
Im not hurt. I concede that ps4 is a helluva improvement over its predecessor and does make games pretty. But i have personally played these games we mentioned before. Ryse is not repetitive. If uve played batman arkham games u will knw wot i mean. Batman had around 20 executions right? Around that number. And everyone loved it. I sure did. But ryse had well over 100, rumoured to top at 120. And forza? Now in no racing fan its either turn left or right for me. But if u are a racing fan its ur...
Clearly they ain't. U seem the vids for it? The textures look soft. And if u start claiming xb1 cant do decent graphics. Just look at ryse or forza. Better graphics than anything else. Ps4 may have better numbers on a spec sheet, but like a car, what's the point to a 1000 horse power engine if u cant get 1000 horse power out of it. I cant even see y this is an issue, when everyone went into this current gen 8yrs ago. How many games did u miss playing? Im guessing the answer is somewhere between not alot and none at all. And that was wen backward compatibility was available.
I for one thought this game looked like a must buy the minute it was announced. I love history and tbh there are not enough historical games around (apart from the fantastic assassins creed series). Still waiting for an ancient Greek game, china, Japan, medieval Europe. So wen i saw a game set in ancient Rome and Britain. Wanted it straight away.
Never too old. I knw of a great grandmother who plays on the wii, for fun and to keep her mind and body active. And people say video games are bad for ones health.
I think its not number 1 in pre-orders because its a new IP and people had a rather mixed first impressions with it.
