Even though I have submitted this news, I have doubts about this rumor because I trust SemiAccurate more and they have said the shader count of the GK104 isn't much less than the 7970, which is contradicted in this article. Moreover I think the top of the line kepler will sport 4GB RAM.

Lack of geometry ;
Solution -> Tessellation.

Lack of texture memory ;
Solution -> Partially Resident Textures of DirectX 11.1

Lack of good animations and physical interactions ;
Solution -> Kepler

Putting dedicated Physx hardware inside the chip may produce nice results if they are used and I bet Metro Last Light will use it as Oles, chief engineer of 4A has said the upcoming GeForce GPU will be fully supported :

No they wont at 1080 p at 60fps if the rumors of Xbox 720 are true but if you consider 720 p and 30 fps, they just might.

The rumors say xbox720 is 6 times faster than XBOx360.

Current gen models use around 30k polygons after normal mapping.

According to the rumors they could have.

30 X 6 X 4 ( I multiplied by 2 to consider tessellation) 720 thousand = 0.72 million polygons.

Doom3 took 5 years to develop.
Rage took 7 years to develop.

Doom 3 sold 2.2 million copies on PCs and 1.3 million on consoles; in total 3.5 million copies

Rage sold 2.3 million copies with all platforms combined.

On per copy basis PC is more profitable.

CGI - Computer Generated Imagery. Yeah but what it implies is that offline rendered video , in games the images are rendered ie calculated when u play it and the computer get around 1/frames per sec time to render each frame so quality is sacrificed and many techniques are not used.

The end will be marked when real time rendering gets on par with the cut scenes we see today. Realtime rendering is just catching up with Toy Story 1. So its a long way off.

Loool 6 times !!! ..... to play the same games of XBOX 360 at 1080p at 60 fps one needs (1920*1080*60)/(1024*768*30)= 5.3 times power !!!

The thing is that 104 is suppose to be a midrange card but its as things indicate it is going to perform nearly as fast as the Radeon 7970. Moreover the power consumption of this chip is also lower .... so if ATI/AMD lowers the price of 7970 to match those of this GK104 chip .... NVIDIA will be the king of the jungle with its G112 chip ...... just like when it released the GeForce 256 back in 1999.

Do i need to mention I am a proud nVIDIA fanboy who likes to spell it in the ...
