When it comes to graphics, I trust the Russians.
I just asked their official facebook page ... they said its coming in Q1 2013 .....
I wish Metro Last Light comes after Crysis 3, cause the ppl at 4A/ Metro developers are opting for the best graphics while those at Crytek are opting for a set standard , no matter how high that standard is , they are not trying to push the best visuals and thus if Metro Last Light releases after Crysis 3 , it is nearly certain they will release their baby with higher visual fidelity than their Crytek brethren.

Hope they ship something which does not have lower res textures than its predecessor, something that does not have lesser physics effects, lesser freedom than its predecessor and hope they do use all the bells and whistles of directx 11.1 ( PRT and bindless textures ) and not ship updates after 6 months of release.
Crysis 2 looks spectacular compared to other games , not Crysis and when they speak those words we take Crysis as the standard for granted.
looks spectacular , extremely excited , the best of that kind of project we’ve ever done. ----- the same phrases they used for Crysis 2 .

Yeah AMD chips got lower transistor counts and less performance too ...
A powerful CPU without that much powerful GPU is a waste.
With all those cores devs are going to do what nVIDIA users kind of get with PhysX/Optix .....
Only edge over PS3 and initially on the PC may be through AI or Kinet related things ......
And I wont be surprised if it got 2 cores and 14 something else ..... like the 1 core 7 SPEs of the PS3 ....

I calculated the ratios , considering the time of release , the GK110 will have 4 gigs of ram in Q3 2012 .... forget the 6gb sapphire toxic 7970
GK110 / the next ATI GPU in late 2012 will have 4.5 TFLOPS , the rumored PS4 GPU has less than a 1GFLOPS
SO be happy with my ratios :-) .....
When PS3 was released with 256 MB ram dedicated to Graphics, PC users had 512 MB Graphics Cards , ratio 1:2 , this time the ratio will be more like 1:4.
The CPU had roughly equal or better performance than PC CPUs but this time its nothing like the top end CPU of the PCs.
In PS3 a 7800GT level chip was used when 7800Ultra was available on the PCs say ratio was 1:1.2 , this time the ratio will be something like 1:4.5 ......
So developers .......
Mark my words .... even though this footage looks mind blowing ... Metro Last Light is going to surpass this for good :D .

500 million polygon per second ; 500 / 60 = 8.33 million polygon per second ; Toy Story 1 had 5-7 million polygon per second .... now thats cool !!!
The method of development this game is following ... theres no problem with delays .... it cant stay still and just goes on getting better nd better ..... :-)

Don't get me wrong ... its a positive statement i tried to make about the Russians , they were pioneers at using PhysX , I guess it got something to do with the nVIDIA office there.
