Maybe he's salty Nintendo have 2 systems that have sold more than 150 million units and PlayStation will only manage 1. It also released 25 years ago

With all respect to this man he doesn't know what he's talking about. Nintendo always release something new and then follow it up with an evolution or iteration of the original concept. From NES->SNES, GB->GBA, N64-GC, DS->3DS, WII->WiiU and now Switch->Switch 2.

This is the game they teased before right? The teaser trailer watched like a purfume advert.

The hardware is capable of a lot. DLSS, VRR, 120FPS, 4K, HDR and all that repeated in handheld mode except the resolution which is 1080p. The unit also now comes with 2 joycons with optical sensors, larger buttons + sticks and enhanced rumble. It comes with much more storage than the original switch and it's much much faster. The system is a huge improvement in terms of processing over the original switch. The price is definitely justified.

I expect over time this list will grow. Games like Xenoblade, fire emblem and luigi's mansion are missing

kpgs you have just confirmed you don't know what GameShare is on Switch 2.. Well done.

VariantAEC the DS had that too which was technically before the PSP. From what I know no other systems have had this until now with Switch 2. Also note Switch 2 supports virtual game cards and digital library sharing just like Xbox and PS5. So like I said Nintendo have consumer friendly features in place nobody wants to take about.

A lot of the information in this article is plain incorrect and it also conveniently overlooks consumer friendly features offered on Switch 2 like GameShare.

GP doesn't only exist on Xbox, they push it on PC, mobile and TV's via cloud. Those devices have a far wider reach than a standard console. I ultimately cancelled my GP sub as I simply wasn't using it and therefore had no need but don't be thinking GP and consoles sales are 1:1

There will also be free upgrades to games for stuff like Gamechat and GameShare

I wasn't really excited by the trailer editing and no solid date given but the gameplay looks great and environments look super atmospheric. Retro doing wonders on the Switch again.

I have 8 profiles on my family account and with this update I can share my 1st party digital games with every account. This is an extremely useful feature even with one game lending to one account at a time.

So I can share my backlog digital games with others in my family account just like steam.. That's actually really cool.

That's my wishlist for this direct

The new Switch 2 game cards will likely have a notch like 3ds game cards. Nintendo have actually done this a number of times in the past GBA was back compact with GB games with both cards using the same game card slot

The PS1 was cutting edge at the time, it removed limitations.
The innovation came from a huge wave of game creators using the PS1 as the main development platform.

So are we just ignoring Octopath Traveler 1&2, Live Alive, Bravely Default 2 and Triangle Strategy then yeah?

I've been holding out hope for Nintendo to revisit/revitalise Golden Sun for years.

331d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

This isn't a complaint I would associate with Nintendo 1st party content, maybe 1 or 2 of their casual and multiplayer titles but not stuff like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid, Xenoblade or Fire Emblem

331d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

So by that logic PS can't compete in the handheld space and retreated to home consoles. Right.
Switch has been the only recent hardware success story, PS hasn't grown at all and with MS doing lower numbers the picture's clear home console space is in decline.

What most don't realise is it's the games that matter and in that regard Nintendo are leagues ahead of PS and Xbox.
