Also supports un-released games, like the Goldeneye remake. Enhancements are possible too.
What a period, in the last two weeks we've gotten HiFi Rush, Dead Space Remake and now this, all scoring high.
Hopefully they sort out the PS5 performance issues quickly. And seeing door loading screens is definitely disappointing.
Fair enough.
I dunno if they care about the optics, we’re a pretty hardcore bunch on here, but your average gamer / consumer is unaware of this and not even paying attention to it like we are.
Heck I still talk to people who think “Sony make COD because it’s a PS game”.
The acquisition going through is indeed a win for GP subscribers - but for those who don’t have it, nothing changes. They can continue to buy COD for $70/game.
Is it really though? COD alone is massive. I’d say the juice is worth the squeeze.
You think lawyers get paid 20bn dollars for one case? Lol
Also Microsoft has a huge legal department like any corporation, these lawyers are already employed as salaried individuals.
“ Theyre really set on ruining the original experience”
Have you played it? I didn’t think it was out yet.
“ So that has nothing to do with Microsoft.”
Weird, I thought Microsoft were the owners of Tango Gameworks. I must be wrong - who owns them then?
Well, it's not exactly a sketchy under the table deal.
Activision wanted to sell.
Microsoft had legitimately acquired funds available to buy.
Seems fine to me.
Awesome, looking forward to this. Save games carrying over to the final game is a nice touch too.
“This is such an extraordinary game that has come out with this amazing protagonist who’s so bold, so unapologetic, so reluctant in the best way possible,” she said.
So she hasn't actually played the game then.
But ultimately, why would she care. She's already cashed the check, probably won't get the money from a sequel but that's not the end of the world, and shouldn't really hit her career anyway because the performance is fine - it&...
The problem there is both of those statements are easily proved false.
“they dont do reboots” -> We already know they’re rebooting Perfect Dark
“Or successful games” -> They just released HiFi Rush.
Destiny is average at best, and as of late, they’ve done a terrible job with the live service side of it. It’s down for hours, sometimes days. We’ve had progress resets and everything.
Taking Halo away from an incapable dev to then give it to another incapable dev will improve nothing.
Either rebuild 343 with better leadership (which they’ll need to since half the people are gone), or give it to ID/Activision.
They’re making hypocritical statements / misleading regulators sure - but they have to - it would look terrible if they didn’t try to do something to stop this acquisition or at least earn some kind of agreement where COD stays on PS.
Ultimately, Sony knows this deal is going through, but optics and perception still matter.
I enjoyed Callisto, but I will say DS remake is a better game IMO. Callisto definitely wins in the visuals department though.
The good news is though, we are being spoiled for horror games. Signalis, Callisto, DS and then RE4 next month. Can’t wait.
I’m not sure that’s strictly true. Halo is also more a complete package (or should be). Extra SP content alone wouldn’t be enough.
I suspect we’ll see this franchise lay dormant for ~5 years and MS will double down on COD as the Xbox shooter and then it’ll suddenly get a huge reboot by a different MS studio (maybe ID or Activision ones).
Would it though? Reach was pretty weak IMO and Destiny isn’t exactly awesome either.
I’d give it to ID software and/or one of the Activision FPS studios if I was Microsoft.

That's pretty awesome. Support for UWP apps running on Xbox was a great idea.
