i tried playing a couple of rounds and it wasn't fun for me at all. they put you in a random squad of 3, you're dropped in a map away from people to shoot, which are mostly far across the map. you spend a good chucnk of time looking for a gun to shoot and by the time you get to some enemies they'rs a countdown timer for something that you have to get away from...
is that what a battle royal is for these types of games? i don't see the fun in it and I'm n...
I'd venture to say as far as subscriptions go, ea access is the better deal. we're talking $30 a year here for over 60 games. granted they're ea games but even if you end up buying just 1 ea game a year outright (like madden) the service makes up for that in less than a week...of course if you hate everything ea (which seems to be the current trend) then sure, game pass would be the better option....

seriously, people gripe about ea as if they're forcing everyone into microtransactions and stuff. the games still run without them. i think the bigger problem comes from the people that simply have to have those microtransactions and can't stop themselves from buying them. i think those are the ones that complain the most...

what exactly do you think you're watching on inside xbox? you want them to bad mouth games that are currently on their system? do you think 3rd party publishers would appreciate them doing that? if they did that then they can kiss those working relationships good bye. then you will be the 1st in line to say "why isn't this game on xbox?"🙄....

this is nothing new. in fact, they gave away the 1st crackdown months ago. it can be pretty fun. they're probably doing it again because a lot of these kids probably never played crackdown 1...personally i would have thrown crackdown 2 in there as well, i know they said it was pretty bad but i never played it so i wouldn't mind getting it for free to compare them all. ...in the.meantime I'll be playing the crackdown 3 beta this weekend and judge for myself.

I'm betting they will reconsider seeing as how they lost millions banking on the mobile market in their latest earnings report...sega will take the time to re-evaluate its portfolio and give the gamers what they want... i.e updated or rebooted classics like streets of rage and Shinobi and cater more to consoles, every console at that....it's either that or continue to lose millions every quarter to the dismay of shareholders and be forced to sell some of their ip's or fold entirel...

judging from the new gameplay i saw today on inside xbox I'd venture to say that the visuals have been upgraded quite a bit from what we've seen...maybe they've been holding out so that when the game releases they just flip the switch to surprise everyone that day.

i could do that, but it requires 10 votes to get disapproved. this being a psu article it's unlikely that anyone else will vote for failed...all psu did was condense the Bloomberg story that had context and rewrote it in their own words.... i would vote to add this as an alternate source to the Bloomberg article but you can't do anything to failed articles.
@rainslacker.... you missed the point too.🙄 ....once again, I'm talking about people that hate everything microsoft that have the audacity to complain and bad mouth them yet are USING a windows pc. whether they paid for the software or not is irrelevant. operating that pc requires windows software, to play their games whether published by Microsoft or not requires windows software....
sure, they can use macs, or Linux instead but they won't have all the game...

why do people complain about a FREE game? if people didn't want battle royal games then they would stop putting them in games nowadays... on one the one hand, you have people saying "we don't want this." on the other hand, you have people saying "give me more battle royal games." what's a developer to do?.... again, this is a FREE game! don't want to buy into the microtransactions? then don't; you can still play the game, geez!
to be fair, the 1st crackdown was only a "hit" because it had the halo 2 beta attached to it. it would be considered a sleeper hit if it was released on its own. it didn't use revolutionary graphics, cell shading had been a thing since the dreamcast days. but it was fun to play, and open world gaming was becoming the new trend at the time...

you completely missed the point.🙄...let me explain it to you and see if you can follow. the usual complainers that like to proclaim "why buy an xbox if it's on pc?...it's better on pc...microsoft is the root of all evil", blah, blah, etc.....those same people will play their precious games on pc (whether it's free or not) but they have windows software running their pc....get it now?🙄
if they announce a metroid prime remastered compilation then I'll surely get a switch next month. i just hope they don't spend 20 minutes talking about smash brothers incoming dlc. 🙄
