did you miss the part when they said the minimum speed required is 5mbps?....just because things may be difficult now doesn't mean they will be later....technology keeps moving forward...remember when dsl was considered highspeed service?...just sayn'.
@razzer...the only time metacritic loses credibility is when they trash a playstation game....when that happens people won't even mention it. it's no different when vgchartz list top gaming sales for anything other than playstation people laugh at it, but when the numbers favor sony then people reference it as gospel. #welcome2n4g
i hope not, the genesis had some of the worst audio in gaming at the time...compared to the snes that is....does anyone remember the voice in thunderforce 3?...the only thing i was able to make out was "...good luck". ...for the record, you can buy a raspberri pi version of the genesis mini right now with a lot more than 40 games for less than this official version.
the article told us nothing we didn't already know and basically said why it COULD win next generation, not that it already won...needless to say, i'm very much looking forward to e3 this year as I'm sure microsoft will have a lot to say; and show.
for me, this is the game i held out for after assassin's 2 and didn't bother with the spinoffs that came after thinking it was just simply bigger dlc's of assassin's 2...(which i enjoyed a lot).
not to mention that 3 took place in my hometown and was curious to see how well they recreated it. nevertheless, it wasn't enough to save it as the story was mediocre as well as the new main hero. they emphasised sailing which was boring, the story dragged, it was just dul...
i like zen studios, but since i dislike turn based fighting in any capacity i reluctantly will give this a try.
super metroid did it for me., but platformers in general i tend to spend more time on than most other genres....currently making my way through hollow knight as opposed to red dead 2 which i left at 35% a couple of months ago.
my introduction to the assassin games was with 2 and Ezio which i thought handled the assassin in Assassin's very well...i was very much looking forward to the 1st assassin's creed when it was announced due to the innovating stealth elements but the plague of bugs i kept reading about kept me away from it and by the time the game came down in price where i would overlook said bugs the bigger better assassin's 2 came out and i went for that instead...glad i did.

not even, at least Nintendo direct has a host or two between games and sometimes even an interview with more details about what we're watching. this was something that looked like some intern put together and was told to hit play and go to lunch.
and it was mostly vr games...i was expecting at least 45min of PlayStation news but it was nothing but trailers and updates to upcoming games...however, i do expect to hear the n4g crowd defend it to no end, or simply pretend it didn't happen. 😄
i'm surprised there aren't any n4g articles about the State Of Play presentation, it's starting in like 10 min. i usually see inside xbox articles, and nintendo Direct articles leading up to each live stream but crickets for sony? (amazed indeed).
@crimson...actually it is a streaming service with the OPTION to download if you choose to....(didn't anybody watch the presentation??) ...As for the studios involved, Apple cited Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman and ustwo as its first development partners.

who gives a rat's...pick another studio, pick insominiac then, the point is they have the money to get some major deals from some big time developers because a famous man once said "everybody has a price!" would it surprise me if Kojima decided to make his next game for stadia? nope. would it surprise me if a new spinter cell game is announced for stadia? nope. i'll be looking forward to it if it happens as the industry needs a good fire to be lit under it.
i'm curious to know what all these naysayers will say if SUPPOSE google invests in some triple A games from some major studios that currently develop on other platforms to make exclusive games for them, then what? suppose google gave naughty dog, or rockstar a boat load of money to develop their next game (or resurrect some dormant ones). let's not forget that developers have over 10 teraflops and 12gb of ram to play with (which can be scaleable). if these games end up looking and pla...
if it's 15 a month and i have access to triple A games day 1...without paying extra then i can see it being worth it, especially if i can cancel anytime...it's easy to go through a game in less than a month (not counting rpg's)....if i can get through 2-3 games within that month then the service would end up saving me money. i've reached an age where i don't really care about owning games anymore, they just take up valuable space in my living room now, collecting dust once...
not sure what happened but now the microsoft event is now a day after. i could have sworn i read somewhere that it would be an hour before sony's stream which is happening later today.
yes they did, but people choose to ignore that part and just look for what games it will have and how much it will cost. also, everyone seems to think that it will lag all day as if google would be willing to put out a non playable platform to compete with the rest.
and it's strategically scheduled an hour before sony's streaming showcase...if this keeps up then it will turn out the same as the e3 conferences from yesteryear where everyone is trying to have the best stage presentation between the big 3...this could be bad for the future of e3 in the long run.
i guess it depends on the developer and how well they took advantage of the genesis's limited audio chip. seeing as how midway managed to get better audio than most from their mortal kombat games.
