For me it was all about the atmosphere the game created, especially during the first half, like the scene where you pick up Shaun from school and spend the night 'together', heavy rain pouring down on the windows, the clock slowly ticking in the kitchen, feeling the desperate urge to interact with another human being, but failing to really connect with your son and ending up shooting some hoops by yourself in the backyard.
There was such a strong feeling of distance ...
No need for pleonasms..
Amazing! Makes me feel kind of dumb for only being able to beat the tests in the regular way.
How does one use the code? I can't access account management, can't access the store, tried it on my PC, I'm about to try and rub a piece of paper with the code written on it against my console.. Help me out please
How did you redeem your code? I googled it but can't find an answer and I'm really anxious to check out the game!
I also find it quite cruel and unusual.
Even though Sony reportedly shut down the servers on Wednesday, I still received my beta invitation Wednesday evening. It seems Sneaky Sony didn't go behind our backs alone when shutting the servers down..
I received an invite yesterday. It reads:
Dear opoikl,
You have been selected to take part in the inFamous 2 User Generated Content Beta Trial.
This Beta Trial is exclusive to selected PlayStation®Plus members and is your opportunity to have a go at designing some inFamous 2 missions right now.
So I guess Raendom could be right about having both plus and the platinum trophy. I was also selected to join the LBP2 Beta (ha...
I always signed out of PSN while carrying that many souls. After losing 67.000 for the first time to an invaded red phantom during my first playthrough, I vowed that I'd never let that happen again, at least not when you need 100.000+ to gain 1 level..
I agree with you mostly, but to me New Game + was another very cold shower. There you are, with your fancy upgraded weapons and heaps of full moon grass, knowing every single corner of the game like your backpocket, thinking you're up for a walk in the park.. And then you try world 4-1 and you can't even get past the first 3 skeletons.
Another thing I remember being ridiculously difficult is challenging NPC's. Oftentimes I had to flee to the beginning of a level t...
Thank God for the fog before the Maneater boss battle! And thank God for Poison Cloud and the Graverobber's Ring. Even though I have the platinum trophy for Demon's Souls, I still haven't beaten Old King Allant one on one to this day :s
It's the first time ever that I had to seek refuge in cheap tactics, so the world might be mended. So the world might be mended..
I was wondering if it is possible to fire up Portal 2 from a dummy PSN account, connect to a friend's Steam, let him download the free copy on his PC, and then play the game together with your main PSN account?
Did anyone try this yet?
I know you can share the game, but you can't play together online if the PSN and steam accounts are linked. Also, apparently your PSN trophies get mirrored to the Steam achievements.
I live in Belgium and a new game costs anywhere between €55 and €69(in the official gamestores), that's 80-100 USD/£48.5-£61 UK.
One liter of Diesel sells at roughly 2 USD/£1.23 UK...
BTW, since I got my ps3 in 2008, you can't rent videogames anymore in Belgium. I used to rent a lot of games at the local gamestore or video rentals, now I have to rely on ever more biased reviews to decide which games are worth that much money.
..but where is the fix for the negative Nano Catalyst in New Game+? It's rather discouraging if you have to start a NG+ on supersoldier with -15200 nano catalyst.
Please don't call me a fanboy, because I am no..t.
Yesterday I visited a friend of mine who just got crysis 2 on ps3. I picked up the controller and played for about 10 minutes(the thrilling scene with the chopper just before you encounter Gould in his appartment). In this short session I encountered several annoying/distracting issues:
-enemies entering the room just standing still, staring directly at me without reacting (until I start firing)

You're absolutely right. Aside from the (serious) lack of A-spec events, there's not really anything you could hold against GT5, it sure as hell ain't a 7/10 game.
As for Killzone 3, I can't help but feel sorry for my Dutch speaking neighbours over at Guerilla Games. They try to make the game as awesome as possible, constantly checking the pulse of the community (listening AND communicating) and without the slightest hint of arrogance manage to produce a world...
I've been thinking about that all week now and saved up a few millions to buy a production line SLS AMG, an F458, some Lambos and the McLarens. Bob can have my over-powered premiums..
At level 29 and with the X2010 in sight, I'm getting tired of grinding the same 10 tracks with the same 4-5 cars. Now it's time for me to "decrease pace" and take a second to enjoy the 180/1000 cars I currently own.
Yeah, I understand your concerns.. gt5 ruined the end of my first semester.
Not only do I seem completely unable to stop playing at night/ in the early morning, I now find myself constantly figuring out excuses (apart from the snow) to skip lessons and delay work in order to have day-long gaming sessions. Once I get in the zone, that is when I stop 'playing a game' and start to feel G forces, the outside world ceases to exist for me.
I just hope that everythi...
Hurrah! Belgium is finally in on the action!
starting with a nice combo of releasing the KZ3 beta to all plus subscribers and a 9 hours long scheduled network maintenance between 16:00 and 01:00. Great, just great.
Hell, I've been expecting B-spec Bob to stab me in the back for weeks now, but as he levels up and the plot keeps thickening, it seems impossible to predict his next move..
(though I suspect to find out my Bob's gone missing along with all my Premiums one day)
