Looks great, especially the reflections on the cars. The moving helmet is a nice touch, but to me it seems as if the driver keeps his head turned quite a bit too long after exiting corners (and he only looks into a corner after the wheel gets turned).
No pure bladestones required?
People usually don't hesitate to buy a pack of cigarettes or order in pizza, these things are expensive too but have nowhere near the value of Limbo.
I'm going to wait another 6 hours to play the game when it's dark. It's going to be awesome, and you can't put a price on that.
Exactly. Been waiting for a year now for this game.
Yesterday I grabbed the demo from the US store and I gotta say, the spider is really quite something. I can't remember the last time I literally had goosebumps playing a game (probably dead space 1, chapter 5 - indestructible necromorph) but the spider even made me quiver the second time around..
And I love that!
Games like Limbo will never show signs of age..
@ FlintGREY
I know what you mean. I like my games to have a certain numbing quality as well, as gaming has always been a form of escapism I seek out.
But if a piece of software is able to provoke true emotion (be it joy, depression or anxiety) I cannot wait to plunge in and let the game lead the way.
The same goes for movies. Transformers, Pirates, awesome to watch, but nowhere near as strong an experience as Antichrist or Naked.
It's be...
You get to play the game for 1 hour, so you probably get to see some cutscenes and play a tutorial..
Custom soundtrack is one of the most enjoyable things in the game. Brahms symphonies for the endurance races and Liberty Rock Radio/V-Rock for A-spec. If it weren't for the custom music, I probably would've stopped playing a long time ago.
Indeed, I've been waiting for this very news post for a year now! So excited, lol
So many iconic performances by female characters in video games. GlaDOS, Bayonetta, Big Sisters, The Boss..
I still got my Infamous 2 beta code which I received the day they shut PSN down. Now that the game is just around the corner and the store remains down, I'm starting to fear I'll never get to play the beta. This blows.
Can you play Motorstorm with a DFGT? If not, you've lost me..
As some users stated on GTPlanet, it's likely PD will bring out another GT game (like Spec II, maybe even GT6) on PS3, so they're probably working on new tracks and cars for a new Blu-Ray game and some of those might make it to GT5 as paid DLC.
They built great physics and 200 cars which are going to be current-gen for years to come, so I believe they just have to add more content to the existing package. I'd rather they hurry up and bring us a disc-based game wit...
Was about to post the same comment, heh.
I finished the campaign in 2 sittings, wasn't sober enough to do it in one.
Then I went back another time for some easter egg hunting, after which I did a playthrough for the dev commentary.
Then I read the article on easter eggs on gamesradar. It turned out I only found about 25%, so another playthrough was needed to see everything there was to see. By then I was so into the game, I did another speedrun after the 4 other playthroughs.
Even tho...
The way I see it is that Sony knows all too well that loyal fans like you and me won't turn our backs towards the company, while the casuals certainly might. We support them unconditionally because we've grown kind of dependent of the console to get our daily gaming fix. So they decided to give the casuals all the love needed to embrace the PS3 once again.
And again, why offer lbp without giving the option to download the full game or just some/ all of the DLC? 1 cost...
I still believe they could have thrown some psone games in the mix, and at least the option to choose between lbp and the (combined) DLC for that game.
As I stated before, I would gladly take 1 costume over 5 games I already own.
But I'm in no position to complain, since the 60 days of Plus means I'll probably get the Uncharted 3 Beta.
@mastiffchild
You're absolutely right, and I fully understand how difficult it is for Sony to do good for every individual gamer. It's even arguable if they even have to do so at all.
Still, I think Sony could've added more games (PS3 and psone) and/or DLC to the list. I wouldn't mind differences in monetary value between the offerings, just as long as I have the ability to pick something new. For example, give the option to choose between lbp and all ...
Yeah, great games, but I also own every game on the list. A few friends of mine who turn on their PS3 every 3 months or so, totally ignorant of the PSN outage, get to choose 2 fantastic games, while people like me, loyal Sony fans, following up on Sony's line-up and purchasing tons of products, are left in the cold a bit.
Still, I'm quite happy with the 60 days of Plus, since my subscription was about to end. Here's hoping the Uncharted 3 Beta won't get delaye...
I did the exact same thing with Demons Souls and will likely repeat the process for Dark Souls.
I always keep an open mind towards new games by ignoring trophy lists, wikis, hints and tips and especially official guides. After all, games take you by the hand enough as it is, so I don't need to know what to expect where and when and how to react in the best possible way. On any great journey, discovery is half the fun.
Once I have an overview of the complete game a...
