Yesh please! I made the foolish mistake of selling my copy of Dark Souls after completing the story and have regretted this decision ever since, even though at the time I didn't feel the same compelling urge to revisit the game like I did with Demon's Souls (which I platted on New Years Eve - a testament to its addictive power).
Now I'll just wait for the Artorias of the Abyss Edition to come out in Europe. My quest for a copy of Eternal Sonata will hopefully kee...
I would definitely add the StA-X3 W.A.S.P. Launcher from Killzone 3. Now that is one over the top weapon.
This is just brilliant! While this theory sounds incredibly plausible, I still can't understand for the life of me how GG could write such a fleshed-out story and not put it in their games. Everything that's intriguing (and for that matter mature) about the KZ universe seems to be left out of the games themselves.
Now this insight surfaces and has the potential to elevate KZ3's story from rather 'meh' to effing 'OMG', but by the time KZ4 drops most people w...
Gameplay-wise, R3 is probably the most well-achieved and certainly most fun FPS I ever experienced on Playstation. Taking headshots with the Marksman for example is an incredible feeling that is unparalleled in the world of console shooters. It's like the Timesplitters of this gen. And I haven't even mentioned all the brilliantly designed weapons, the engrossing particle effects and gore. I would even dare to state that while there are lots of good FPS'ers this gen, R3's gamep...
I don't know about those "next-gen" comments. I got that feeling whilst playing Rage (and to a lesser extent Bulletstorm) on my new PC a few months ago, and those can't even begin to compare to the feeling of amazement that grasps you when you enter the world of BF3 on high or ultra for the first time. I guess 5 years of PS3 only made my expectations drop significantly.
To me this just looks like a cleaner and crisper version of the previous AC games, much ...
Big Boss should be The Boss
Then may I suggest you play Journey at night?
Polyphony Digital?
SPOILERS
I consider it a plus that the game doesn't impose a fleshed-out story on me. They just provide some context through music, paintings, subtle gestures and expressions. However vague it might be, it's easily enough to push you towards a certain state of mind and heart, as if the game wants to make a comfortable bed for you to lie down and doze off in.
You get to experience coming full circle with your character, having walked ages towards an u...
@MySwordIsHeavenly I finished the game while being signed out of the network, and even though I had a really great time during my first Journey, apart from the ending I didn't really feel anything substantial except for wonderment. But yesterday that all changed drastically when I decided to give the game one more go, this time trying out the online mode.
At the start of the game, I spotted another player sitting peacefully on the top of a hill, so I walked up to him/her ...
Uhm.. no thanks!
I also remember my last feather. I was searching for it for about 2 hours on end, when a friend suddenly came over, got interested in the historical setting of the game, grabbed the controller, climbed the first tall building that caught his eye and guess what.. the feather was hiding on that very roof between two chimneys. Incredible. Needless to say, the excitement I displayed seemed rather exaggerated to my friend.
To Europeans looking for a similar deal: Play.com (UK) offers the game for €22.49 (+free delivery)! I cannot wait for this game to arrive in the mail.
Man this game is too awesome. The in-your-face colors, the high-pitched voices, the fluidity of the gameplay.. I haven't felt this magical vibe since I first entered the Bayou in Rayman 2: The Great Escape on psx.
Cannot wait to play this little gem..
Here in Belgium, the game is already out since Tuesday. Probably has something to do with Armistice on 11/11, when we have an official holiday. Same thing happened with uncharted 3, which was suddenly released on Saturday instead of Tuesday like the rest of the world. It's absolutely unfair but I can only applaud this new tendency, because most often Europeans have to wait several days longer than their American gamer colleagues..
I didn't pick the game up yet, but I&...
Vanquish
Same answer as with every really difficult situation in the game: poison cloud and smoke break..
Lol @ Paul Phoenix in the background at 01:23
As long as there's science, there will be Aperture Science... making that science.. LOL
