That's such a dumb way of looking at things. You're basically saying that you would rather Microsoft waited for you to buy a slim before they announced their top tier console releasing 12 months later. They told you for a reason, if waiting for the Scorpio is more to your liking then the slim obviously isn't for you. Microsoft isn't the dumb one in this discussion. The slim sales will be fine and it will become the standard bottom tier at $299.

No, it's just a simple observation. Last of us, Uncharted 4, God of war, days gone, etc. It's the same style. It's not surprising with how successful the games are but that's not necessary for every game. That's called milking when somebody else does it. Them overusing the style on every game reduces the gameplay options and the uniqueness of the originals.

It wasn't killed by the Scorpio.. The announcement was a simple heads up for holiday 2017. I'm trading in my X1 for a slim for the UHD HDR alone. For people who don't have an X1 and don't want a 500 dollar plus VR machine it's a steal. It's 2 different products for 2 different consumers.

Days gone is a new IP by Sony bend. Watch the after show with keighly on YouTube. The devs showed it off, it looked like world war Z with the sheer amount of zombies. It looked like a mix of resident evil 7, the last of us and 28 days later.
Every Sony game now has the last of us influence (God of war, days gone). It's quite disappointing. Horizon looks good though.
