How the Hell did Nvidia even weasel their way into this game?
Yeah this is ugly and it's "features" are pretty dumb and pointless. A computer isn't a Formula 1 card...you shouldn't have to "hot swap" SSD's. Gimmicky gimmick is gimmicky.
Good. They were, literally, ridiculously overpriced to begin with. Asking, what was it, $500 for the G29 despite it including less than the G27 that at release was like $300? Yeah, I don't know what Logitech was thinking other than pure greed.

Where the hell are you getting VR from based on this video or anything else? It's clearly going to be some 2D/2.5D side scrolling game. Everything points to that being the case.

Eh, while the game looks nice I can't be the only one that's getting a tad burned out on these artsy 2D side-scrolling platformer/puzzlers. Granted, I don't know that's what this is but the three jellyfish sure as hell seemed like an element best avoided swimming towards and, well, the whole video fits the description.
I mean, it's Insomniac so there might be elements that make it different and all that, I guess I would just expect something...more compl...

HBAO and PCSS is missing which this guy says he's running HBAO. So other than PCSS nothing else is missing. Also considering the negative reception the game is getting due to it's downgrade graphics I'm pretty sure Ubi and/or Massive would have come out by now to squash these thoughts...they haven't. Why not? Why not defend your product if you known something we don't?

Did you watch the video? It's not water, It's glass that they tried to make look like water because you can't add water. So no it's technically not a stream.

Despite the fact you can't, apparently, add water anywhere...which seems very odd for a map maker.
I don't like the fact that retro gaming on PC is possibly dead. If these servers shut down at some point in the future (which they will) you can say bye to playing this game in a number of years. I don't care for that at all really.

Easy to say that but the latest version has yet to be cracked (Just Cause 3) and according to those trying there's a good chance it can't be. Not saying it's impossible but so far no good.

Ummm...is SSAO not more about shadows and less about lighting? Either way, I think that SSAO vs. HBAO+ on the surface is a big difference but what about higher end levels of SSAO or HDAO vs. HBAO+.
Regardless, I'll certainly be using HBAO+ as I know the difference it makes but that still isn't going to transform the game to resemble it's former self.
I still don't really see how it'll change much. Will it re-add all the clutter and garbage in the streets? Will it make all the lighting as detailed and high-end as it use to be? No.
All the Nvidia stuff will do is add HBAO+ and PCSS. Neither effect actually makes THAT much of a difference. Even the Unity example they have in the article is a bad example as it's basically no SSAO vs. HBAO+. Of course HBAO+ is going to look better vs. having no AO at all! It'...

Where are you getting this idea that they're broadening anything? Far Cry is still Far Cry just set in a different time period with some even MORE ridiculous elements and For Honor is a third person fighting game. Sure they might not have done something like it before but it's hardly anything new.
What did I just watch? Not saying the game is going to be bad but it certainly didn't look very impressive in any way...that or the video was just poorly done.
The hell are you talking about? AMD GPU's have been top notch for years now. It's only been recently with the 9xx series that Nvidia's actually been truly on top. Before then from the 7xx and 6xx series AMD's been the fastest with their 7970 and 290 series.
So their GPU's are more than legit and nothing is broke that needs fixing. Hell, their
drivers even have had less issues than Nvidias more recent releases.
