Exactly. It's basically DayZ minus the zombies and I know of no console gamer that doesn't now own a PC that didn't before wanting to play these types of games.
WRONG. Just last gen the PS3 had the fastest single core CPU ever and the GPU in the 360 was the fastest AND most advanced GPU at the time.
Simple enough for you?
The PS4 Pro can do 4K and 60Hz. They weren't talking about it and claiming it like every game was going to do it like Microsoft were. I remember them TALKING SHIT to Sony because their console was a "True 4K" console.
No, you're wrong. MS certainly were acting like the Xbox X was going to be this miracle device that would change gaming forever.
Are you kidding me? You Nintendo fans are a insane bunch.
Too little too late? Is anyone playing this still? I had hours of fun with it, for sure, but haven't touched it in a while. One of those games I didn't quite see the replay value in.
Oh wow so it's a mobile game? I guess it's fitting considering the Switches hardware.
I think a big part of VR also is that people forget there are a TON of uses outside "gaming". There's things like:
Using it as a virtual desktop for your phone or PC.
A virtual movie theater where you can watch 2D AND 3D movies (the 3D being FAR superior to any other traditional 3D video method like active shutter or passive).
Virtual tours in 3D.
360 or 180 degree video.
360 degree live events like concerts, sports, etc.
...
Looks pretty dry and generic to me. Also, graphics are hardly anything to write home about despite what other commentors may think. Cars are pretty standard quality and the environment I saw looked a bit "cartoonish".
Seems like a typical, "Our console needs that semi-serious racing game STAT!" type of game.
I remember Breakdown on the original Xbox. First game that I recall using the full body rendering. Was such an immersive experience.
Glad to see that they added here. One more thing to add to the experience. VR would be great too!
He was always my favorite in Tekken 2 back in the day. The tongue moves he had were the coolest!
One X isn't going to grow anything. If anything it MIGHT help 4K TV sales grow for a few months by a few percent but gaming isn't going anywhere. I mean, all the games it has are still going to be based and ultimately limited by the older weaker console variants so other than higher end assets, resolution, and frame rate the games themselves won't be any better (physics, size and scope of world, etc).
It'll help the people that want the highest end console w...
I don't understand why people cared and continue to care so much about a damn emulation box with some cheap controllers that have 1 foot cables.
It's ridiculous. They act like they're doing US a favor.
I'm more interested in Alan talking about how he and Nathan played Halo. Cool to hear that Nathan seems to be a gamer still.
When? As a launch title for their next console?
The hype is dead. It's just another Nintendo console now.
It's funny, if you rewatch Toy Story now it's easy to notice all the little glitches and what not. Watch the beginning with Woody on Andy's bed and you can see his hands clip through the blanket all the time. Pretty interesting to notice it now being use to it from 3D games the past 20 years. I expect so much more out of my modern CGI films!
But yeah, it's usually the polygon count in CGI that set it apart. Even with our modern renditions of the characters ...
What's being "lean" on gameplay have to do with comparing game graphics to a movie?
We have for a while now. Granted things like poly count and resolution and maybe some lighting stuff that barely anyone notices may be better in the movie but I'd say we passed by or at least matched the over all graphics even last gen, just about.
I guess things like the grass and bushes and finer details need to catch up but we're getting there. Play something like a VR game where items are meant to be looked at close up or Unigine's Superposition benchmark an...
Post processing is definitely better as is the lighting over all in KH3. The movie has higher poly models though (especially on Buzz) but that's really the only true positive I see otherwise.
Not surprising though, it is two decades later and computers are considerably faster.
Again, "You Nintendo fans are a insane bunch." You basically just cried because I said an unimpressive racer looks unimpressive. Then you come along and try to compare it to Forza? Come on man... Just because it's Nintendo doesn't mean you HAVE to support it or that it will be good.
