@ Persistantthug ~ Actually you are not exactly correct but not exactly wrong but more so incorrect. If you go by what I posted above ( http://microsoft.nyleveia.c... )you will see that the only year the PS3 did not outsell the 360 was 2007 (launch) and it's a real toss up as to who really sold more in 2009. I would call that a tie if you can get a 100% accurate sale...

@ fr0sty ~ The gap was more like +/- 9 Million behind for the PS3 and now it's within 3 Million or so (either way your point is still correct just even more stateful now)...though I honestly believe it's probably a bit less than that at the moment, but will definitely close it even more by end 2012.

The irony of your comment is so bad that it physically hurts me.

You have to remember they have been at this for 2 generations already (VERY successfully I might add) so they know trends and what the people want. It's clear in the choice they made with the capabilities/options with the product they offered being the PS3...not to mention all the games that are constantly coming out like clockwork.

Also while they might not make money on the front end with the sales of PS3's the accessories, games and etc more than make up for it on ...

Let 'em. It's not going to do a damned thing other than keep these so called "gamers" from experiencing a variety of stuff they can't get any where else. They are and will always be biased haters that are not true gamers.

I agree, but from a business standpoint it is not needed, simply because Sony knows the PS3 has been outselling the 360 since launch and this year will be no different...other than it WILL surpass the 360's "sold numbers" come Holiday 2012. Then they will have the $199 card for either March/April 2012 or at the same time next year before the holiday season.

As cocky as that sounds it is very true. I personally don't play much fps' on consoles like COD, Halo, Resistance & etc but now and again when I go to some friends houses and they're playing, there is always a couple of people that try to act like they are the best on COD or Modern Warfare and proceed to talk all this $#@!, but I stay quiet, and just watch and mind my business...until the trash talking comes my way for whatever reason.

I'm looking forward to this on consoles but I think the overall best option would be to do a true HD remake of CS 1.6 but with 2 additions ~ Keyboard/Mouse & Move support.

What certain people so oddly forget is that the PS Eye can do the same basic kind of Camera based movement recognition as Kinect BUT has the added benefit of using the PS Move for REAL precision and dual wielding in this scenario.

Win = PS Eye being able to do what Kinect can do along with the PS Move adding an additional level of capability/accuracy that the Kinect CANNOT match.

Done.

If you want to really touch a hot topic about this then you would have to discuss how if the RROD never happened then the total sales of the 360 would be LESS currently.

Simply because there would not have been no excessive repurchases/replacements and swapped warranty amounts from places like BestBuy that offer a no question asked replacement program but are accounted as a "new" sale even when it is a 1:1 replacement.

Anyone have a link to or know if BestBuy will price match this?

@ Death ~ The Xbox 360 was NOT 1 year. It was 90 days because they KNEW about RROD and tried to screw the customers by only offering a 3 month warranty in a cheap way to try and help mitigate their FORESEEN losses.
