He used ESTIMATES to be give a PERCENTAGE DIFFERENCE. His specific comment is "54% MORE" <--- key operative word being MORE ~ thus the point of a 600k ESTIMATE is accurately 54% more than 390k.

Resolution (and fps) matters on many different levels because it has a direct impact on gameplay.
Personally the biggest thing for me is how it affects the ability to distinctly see where a person is at a distance on say an FPS game on through being able to hit the apex of a corner in a Racing Sim and so on.
Does that mean more is always better? To an extent ~ No. But given the choice, I can't see how ANYONE would say a 720p/60fps is "better" t...
Sorry N64fan but the PS3 was more than just about the BD aspect for that $100 price difference.
It had BD/DVD/CD capability, upgradeable off the shelf HDD, Wifi, Free PSN, Internet Browsing, Bluetooth + standard peripherals, USB + standard peripherals, Rechargeable Controllers, nothing locked behind a paywall and so on and so on.

Mostly true. There was like 1 or maybe 2 years where the PS3 sold less (but not by a hell of a lot) year over year vs the 360. The proof of that is quite simple to verify, just simply look at the totals of the PS3/360 right now. The PS3 had to outsell the 360 YoY in order to surpass it. It's statistically impossible for it to do so if it sold equal or less than its competitor.

I'd like to see some comparisons between the PS3 and XB1 just for reference.
They probably don't have to work very fast at all, just adapt some of the many hacks, mods, cheats that worked in other Source engined/coded games.
Kind of reminds me of a certain "vaseline filter" pov that was used around here back in the day about the PS3/360....
